An excellent well organised cycling trip around Transylvania. Local contact and support once in Romania were also excellent. Any problems that were encountered that you couldn't sort for yourself were resolved quickly and efficiently. The cycling is designed to be moderately challenging for the occasional cyclist. Experienced cyclists will find it relatively easy but nonetheless rewarding as the enjoyment is in experiencing what was a new country for us. Standard of accommodation and food was better than expected than expected. Would I recommend this tour and/or the organisers - yes!

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride through the Transylvanian countryside with its almost constant backdrop of the Fagaras Mountains. The villages seem to be as they must have been for centuries, and the highlighted towns of Sighisoara, Biertan and Sibiu (we recommend that detour) are well-preserved with a strong sense of their long histories. The accommodation hosts were genuinely warm and welcoming, and committed to feeding their guests well. A special mention must be made of the tour organisers, who provided excellent trip notes, map and bikes, and their pre-trip briefing was detailed and personable. They also excelled when help was needed. This tour is highly recommended with its freshness of a road less travelled.

Romanian people are so friendly and it was great to be able to travel at our own pace and discover the country for ourselves. The accommodation was way above what I expected and to be able to meet new hosts each night was a great experience. Drivers were very courteous to cyclists but would be advisable to have experience cycling in traffic for some places.

The bikes were fabulous and there were some standout hosts. The ride was challenging at times with some dirt and rutted roads. There were not as many villages as we expected.
