Danube to the Iron Gates Bike and Boat

One of the best cycling trips we have been on. The Swiss Crown boat was amazing, the food as good as any top cruise ship. Lovely lounges and pretty good cabins.

Danube to the Iron Gates Bike and Boat

05 Sep 2018

Our experience of this trip was not as planned due to the drought in EU. The Danube was too shallow for the Theodor Korner to proceed past Vienna. Due to the vast local experience of Andreas the fabulous Cruise Director the trip was replanned daily for Austrian rides only - and was still a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip. Be aware this tour can be affected by the river levels - up or down - but the locals love and support this particular cruise. It is repeated many times a year and gets booked out early!
