What's Included

  Continental breakfasts are served and usually consist of breads, jams, cheese, occasionally eggs and meats, coffee, tea and juices. Dinner will be 3 courses and include some regional specialties.

Accommodation

7 nights in 3 star hotels. During the trip your family will be accommodated in comfortable 3 star hotels, chosen for their character and location on the cycle route. In Austria, note that a twin room is not always associated with having two beds.

Grading

INTRODUCTORY – GRADE 1
This trip involves 6 days cycling between 35 and 49km / 21.5 and 30.5mi per day usually along paved cycle paths across generally flat terrain. You need only carry your camera
ain gear and water bottle. Your luggage is transported for you between hotels/inns. The trip is considered suitable for beginners and children who have a good level of fitness. *For safety reasons, we insist that cycle helmets be included as a compulsory item on your equipment list.

What You Carry

During the cycle day you will carry your daily requirements in the pannier provided with the bike. This may include your lunch, wet weather gear, mobile phone and water. A small daypack which can be kept inside the pannier is useful for sightseeing.

Mode of Transport

Travel to Linz and from Vienna is included. The tour involves cycling between destinations, with luggage transferred from hotel to hotel. A ferry ride from Spitz to Krems is included, except in low and mid-season when a train ride from Krems to Tulln is provided.
