Day 1 : Arrive Naples, Transfer To Sorrento
Location: Sorrento

On arrival in Naples, you'll be privately transferred to Sorrento*. After checking in at your hotel, the rest of the day and evening are free to explore and enjoy the town.
Stroll through the café lined Piazza Tasso and the historic centre, a warren of narrow alleys where you'll find hand-crafted marquetry and wares and local gastronomic products, including limoncello, the local aperitivo. The 14th church of San Francesco and its tranquil cloister are worth visiting.
*note a supplement applies for arrivals in Naples after 8pm.
Day 2 : By Hydrofoil To Capri, Explore By Foot (3Hrs), Return To Sorrento
Location: Capri

This morning you take the hydrofoil to the island of Capri (approx 30 min). Here you can visit the Matromania caves and the Terrazza di Tragara along a colourful path with villas and gardens full of flowers. There are great views of the Faraglioni (spurs of rock rising from the sea) and Monte Solaro. There is time to enjoy swimming in the sea and to discover the romantic lanes of Capri village. Take an afternoon hydrofoil back to Sorrento.
Day 3 : Explore Pompeii And Herculaneum, Return To Sorrento By Train, Transfer To Agerola
Location: Pompeii

Transfer by train to Pompeii (1hr) and visit the incredible sleeping Roman town at your own pace, enjoying this important and charming historical site. Herculaneum, which was a favourite summer destination for wealthy Romans because of its favourable position by the sea, is only 20 minutes by train from Pompeii, if you want to visit both sites. In the late afternoon, take the train back to Sorrento, collect your luggage then a private transfer will take you to Agerola, at the top of Monti Lattari, the natural border between the Sorrento peninsula and the Amalfi coast. Dinner and overnight in Agerola.
Day 4 : Stunning 'Path Of The Gods' Walk To Positano, Return To Agerola (3Hrs)

Today you will take the trail known as the “Path of the Gods”, the ancient terraced mule path linking Agerola to the village of Positano, a small and charming fishing village. From Positano to Amalfi, take a boat to admire the Amalfi coast from the deck, then transfer by public bus back to Agerola (1h). Dinner and overnight in Agerola.
Day 5 : Walk Through The Ferriere Valley To Ravello Then Amalfi (5Hrs)
Location: Amalfi

This morning you take the public bus (1hr) to Amalfi village to commence your walk. From the village today's hike is along the beautiful Ferriere Valley, the ancient 'Amalfi industrial area', where paper mills and iron-works were situated. Reach Ravello, a resort town set 365m above sea level. Here there is free time to linger, or visit 'Villa Rufolo', about which Boccaccio wrote The Decameron, and the beautiful gardens of 'Villa Cimbrone'. Return to Amalfi via the village of Atrani, then by public bus (1hr) back to Agerola for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 : Transfer To Mt Vesuvius And Walk To The Crater, Continue To Naples (2Hrs)

In the morning, a short transfer will take you to the summit of Mt Vesuvius. It's an easy walk to ascend to the crater at 1280m, where you can enjoy wonderful views across the Bay of Naples. Afterwards, a private transfer will take you to your accommodation in Naples. Italy's third largest city, Naples is one of its oldest, most artistic and most delicious - it's the home of pizza after all!

Grading
The walking is graded moderate with 2 to 5 hours walking each day over hilly to steep terrain. There are numerous steps in any hike on the Amalfi coast and your preparation should include climbing and descending steps. A reasonable level of fitness is required. As with all of our trips it is important that you are well prepared. We suggest that you undertake regular exercise – swimming, cycling, stair walking and jogging, two to three times a week for three months prior to your departure.

Most of our self guided trips are priced based on twinshare. If you are travelling solo the single traveller surcharge will apply. The single supplement would apply if you were travelling in a party with others and you had chosen to book a single room. You would never pay a single traveller surcharge and a single supplement.

UTracks allows you to transfer existing payments to a future tour to avoid cancellation fees if you can't travel and inform utracks, 70 days before departure.

Low Deposit
UTracks requires a minimum deposit of 250 GBP per person or the full booking value, whichever is less, with the final balance not due until 70 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy
We don't charge a cancellation fee, here is a summary of utracks charges.
Up to 70 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of deposit.
At 69 days before tour starts: Forfeit 50% of booking price.
At 35 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of booking price.
