Accommodation was not as good as expected, but was adequate. Choice of sightseeing tours good, but curtailed by bad weather.

Very good tour. Norman was an excellent tour guide who just gave us enough information without us losing interest. He was very professional. We shall certainly consider another tour next year and would appreciate your next brochure.

Excellent fin-de-siècle hotel, very convenient for the town and offering very tasty food. Guide pleasant and knowledgable. My only complaint is that we never got long enough at our destinations ( a bit of a mañana attitude to travel ?). As visiting Carcassonne was the main reason I booked this trip, I would have appreciated getting there earlier and spending the whole day instead of having to travel some more to have only 45 minutes in Narbonne (which is just another pretty town and which didn't have as much to offer). As it was , I only had time for a glimpse around and couldn't both have déjeuner (this if France after all!) AND a visit to the château and remparts. Same comments about Pézénas which looked lovely and it would have been so much better if we had gotten there earlier and stayed longer. After leaving it, we got to Sète too early for the restaurants to be open so what was the point? But I enjoyed myself overall ( it helps that I speak French) and am looking forward too booking another holiday or two next year. ...more ...less

The tour manager, Angela Minton, is very knowledgeable about the area and she imparted information in a restrained and acceptable manner. She was also good at shepherding her flock, keeping us in order without being at all overbearing. We would have preferred an outing to Marseille rather than to Carcassonne which resembles too much a 'Disney' creation full of tatty shops, bars and cafés, but that may be difficult to arrange. Altogether, the holiday was very enjoyable and good value. ...more ...less

This was our 5th holiday with you and as usual we were happy with Travel Editions. Our only slight disappointment was a drive around the hotels at La Grand Motte, on the Camargue day, when we felt a visit to St Marie de la Mer might have been more interesting. However major praise to Angela for the inspired visit to Sete, where we were able to have dinner. I have visited Sete on numerous occasions and this is the first first I have seen the water jousing, so very pleased with that. Angela is a well informed manager and good company. ...more ...less
