6-Day Argentina Tour: Buenos Aires & Iguazu Falls

Upon your arrival at Buenos Aires airport (Ezeiza or Aeroparque), you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the city center.

The rest of the day will be free for you to spend at your leisure.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and go for a three-hour bus tour.

We will start on one of the main avenues, the 9th of July Avenue, where we'll see the Teatro Colon and the Obelisk.

Afterward we will visit the Plaza de Mayo, where we will make our first stop, it was the historical, political, and foundational epicenter of the city; there, we will be able to take Photos of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government House, and the Cabildo.

The tour will continue south through the old neighborhood of San Telmo, passing through Parque Lezama, and then on to the neighborhood of La Boca, where we have our second stop. Famous for the stadium of Boca Juniors, one of the greatest exponents of the Argentinian passion: Football; and also important for Caminito, one of the biggest Tourist Attractions, full of color, magic, and history.

After the break, we'll move to Puerto Madero, which is one of the newest, most exclusive, and most modern neighborhoods in Buenos Aires with its main areas of Retiro and Plaza San Martin.

We'll move on to Palermo, which is Buenos Aire's main green area.

The last neighborhood we'll visit is the exclusive and sophisticated neighborhood of La Recoleta to end our excursion in Buenos Aires downtown.

At night, around 8 pm, you will be picked up at your hotel to enjoy an exclusive meal, followed by a tango show with the best dancers in the City. You can enjoy an exquisite dinner of three steps with over thirty options of Argentinian and international dishes. The service includes a starter, main course soft drinks, mineral water, wine, dessert, and coffee.

After a delicious dinner the show begins. A quartet of musicians start playing the pieces of classic tango and on stage, four pairs of dancers fall in love with the audience with precision and sensuality.
Two singers dazzle the audience with their voices and the same will be complemented with stories of the history of tango and Buenos Aires, its characters, and circumstances from 1860 to the present.

Around 11:30 pm the event will finish near and we´ll take you back to your hotel.

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel where you will board a comfortable bus and head towards Tigre, up north.

The first stop will be in San Isidro City, where our guides will take you to visit the beautiful Cathedral of San Isidro and the popular mansions inhabited by ancient aristocratic families of Buenos Aires. Then you will continue the journey to Tigre.

In Tigre, we will climb aboard a catamaran where we'll enjoy a 40-minute tour of the Delta. There, we can see the landscape of rivers and streams that cross forming numerous islands. You can see the lifestyle of the local people and how they interact with services operating on a floating way in rivers: boats, rafts, and water taxis. You will also see houses built on stilts and the house museum of President Sarmiento.

At the end of the boat ride, you will return to the port to board the bus again and make your way back to Buenos Aires.

On the way back to Buenos Aires we will pass by the Presidential Residence (Quinta de Olivos).

After breakfast in your hotel in Buenos Aires, you will be met for a transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, the small town close to the spectacular Iguazu Falls (airfare not included). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your comfortable hotel in the town.

In the afternoon, you will be picked up by your guide in your hotel, and he will take you to The Brazilian side of the Iguazu Park. You will first go to the border and get your passport checked up (you might need a visa according on your nationality). Then, you will enter Brazil and upon arrival at the Visitors Center, you will get on the panoramic buses that begin the tour of the park.

After a while you will get off the bus to start walking the paths.

From the first balcony, you will have a panoramic view of the Argentinean falls. Then after 950 meters with stunning views over the Iguazu River, you will get to the falls on the Brazilian side. The walkway entering the river next to the Floriano Fall gives the visitor a refreshing reception and a gorgeous panoramic view of the lower Iguazu River and the Devil’s Gorge Canyon.

Then, after a 4-hour tour, your guide will take you back to your Hotel in Puerto Iguazu.

After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide, and he will take you to the Upper Circuit First. It is 800 meters of catwalks detached from the jungles surface to protect the fauna by preventing disruption of their natural trails. From this circuit you'll have an upper view of the Iguazu Falls, enjoying their magnificence with a panoramic view. This part of the tour will take one hour.

Then, you will go to the Devil's Gorge, departing from Cataratas Station, the train goes up to Garganta Station in about 18 minutes. Then a walk along the catwalks about 1200 meters over the islands will take you to enjoy the most spectacular sight from the most important balcony: the Devil’s Gorge, the biggest fall of the Iguazu Falls. This 2nd part of the excursion takes about two hours.

Then, at last, you will take a trail going through 1.600 meters of catwalks, also detached from the jungles surface, you will enjoy a view from below and around the Iguazu Falls. This circuit provides a unique experience where you'll be feeling as a part of the natural surroundings, watching and sensing their magnitude from up close.

Then, at the end of the afternoon, your guide will take you back to your hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel you'll be met for your transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Once in Buenos Aires, a private car will take you to the Ezeiza International Airport for your flight back home.
