Tour Overview
The Tashi Lapcha Pass trek, the trek through the Gauri Shankar Conservation Area and the Sagarmatha National Park, linking the Rolwaling Valley with the Khumbu region. Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek will Explore the beautiful Tso Rolpa Lake (4183 m), summit the Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755m), visit Namche Bazaar- The Sherpa Capital, and offers superb breathtaking views of Mt. Gauri Shankar and Mt. Everest and many other High Himalayas Peak. This Pass is perhaps the most difficult in the Khumbu region, so a high level of fitness, previous trekking or climbing experience, and stamina is required. This is reportedly one of the possible trails that people from Kham in Tibet used during the mid-1800s. Those people subsequently settled in this region and the Khumbu region and are now known as Sherpa, this trek also has historical and cultural significance. After we crossing the pass and coming into the Khumbu region, we can see glorious views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kusum Kangaru. Once we reaching Namche Bazaar there is an opportunity to interact with other trekking and climbing groups as well as the Local Sherpas. But before that, aside from perhaps spotting a snow partridge or two, and coming across herds of yaks (or more specifically, Naks) producing milk for cheese making, don’t forget to see out for the fabled Yeti. It was on the slopes of the Rolwaling Peak that Eric Shipton photographed Yeti's footprints in 1951! The Sherpa Expedition and Trekking team will help you prepare for this out of the way journey into the forgotten regions of the Gaurishankar Conservation Area. Tashi Lapcha Pass trek is less traveled and ensures you of a more unique experience trekking in Nepal.
