Tour Overview

The Tamang Heritage and Langtang Valley trek begins by driving from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi and runs through the beautiful forest and lush Langtang Valley with stunning views of Langtang and Mt. Ganesh Himal. All villages on the trail are occupied by Tamang people, closely related to Tibetans, and so the culture is Buddhist with a good scattering of prayer wheels, Mani wall, chortens, Buddhist prayer flags and mani stones along with the route. Although Located in a district badly hit by the 2015 earthquake, Tamang heritage trail was hardly affected at all and reopened to trekkers three months after the earthquake and remains an area of outstanding natural beauty and culture. Although, the trail takes in Tatopani where there used to be warm hot springs. The hot springs have disappeared after the 2015 earthquake. The trek trail lies in what was previously a restricted area close to the Tibet border and was being to trekkers lately. The Tamang people in this region have a culture, tradition, and religion that goes back two hundreds of years, and the craftsmanship, dress, and stone-mud houses are testimony of this ancient background. Also, in Kyanjin Gompa where their atmosphere is serene as only a Buddhist monastery can be, and where the amazing Himalayas views cannot help but add immensely to the experience! Our Tamang Heritage and Langtang Valley Trek interesting drive lead us to Dhunche town (headquarter of Rasuwa district), Syabru Besi, and through rural farm villages before ending at Kathmandu after a memorable time in the cultural and ancient Tamang Heritage and Langtang Valley Trek and in the laps of high Central Himalaya with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking Team.

NATURE AND PEOPLE

03-Jun-2019

Of course, the beauty of nature was fantastic and amazing, but also I found the warm heart of village people welcoming us. My main purpose of climbing Mt. Kyanjin Ri was accomplished, but without my guide's help, it must have been more difficult. The food in the tea houses were a bit costly and the taste was different as i expected.

LANGTANG VALLEY TREK SEPTEMBER 2018

05-Sep-2018

Together with my friend, we totally enjoyed the trek! The landscapes were amazing and the Nepali people were so polite and friendly. Prepare yourself for the road! It was terrible.

Miriam Nyamu

Well organized

12-Mar-2019

The trip was well organized, professional and Bimal made sure my friend and I had everything we wanted. Also think it is a very fair price for what you get. The only watch point is the 7 hours’ drive from Kathmandu as the roads are pretty bad - if you can I would recommend getting a jeep as we did!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE

15-Dec-2018

If you are looking for a trek that will test your abilities, while also being manageable for all ages, this is the one. Pasang is very friendly and easy to get along with. We had a great time exploring and learning about Nepali culture together.

Tamang Heritage Trek

12-Aug-2019

I did Tamang Heritage with Langtang Valley Trek with Sherpa Team! I can only recommend Nepal as a country to explore it is a little off the track for most holiday destinations but you won’t be disappointed in going and using Sherpa Expedition and Trekking was fantastic. The Tamang Heritage Trail is a relatively new trek but Sherpa Expedition and Trekking had great local guides and porters who were well versed in local points of interest and local customs.

VERY BEAUTIFUL TRIP , GOOD GUIDES, VERY HELPFULL STAFF.

14-May-2019

Not too high, not too tiring. And beautiful views of Himalaya range. This trek is highly recommendable. It offers incredible views of the Himalayas and also gives the chance to discover Nepal rural areas.

VERY DIVERSE TREKKING AND GREAT CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

23-Jul-2019

Me and my wife just returned from Langtang Valley, we are both not experienced hikers, yet this route was very suitable for us . You have good views along the way, and very diverse scenery. We really enjoyed the local villages we passed and getting in contact with the local villagers.

Martin Njure Kinyua

It was an amazing trip!

09-Mar-2018

Absolutely a professional guide who helps you clear all obstacles to make you be there. He is also a great ambassador to show you the local cultures. The trip won't be so rewarding without his presence. I would like to give my sincere gratitude to them and wish them continue delivering unforgettable experience to other trekkers.
