The Nar Phu Valley trek just opened in 2003 and still remains a relatively less trekker’s visit area in the Annapurna region. This hidden valley requires a special permit to enter. Located just off the Annapurna Circuit route, the path to Nar Phu explores remote villages, Tibetan-like peoples, forests, narrow canyons, Buddhist monasteries, Gompa, and majestic mountains. A bridge over the Marshyangdi River brings the trail to the steep portals of the Nar Phu Valley, which is easy to miss. Once through the narrow, forested ‘entrance’ a whole other world awaits. This trek is not like another trek as long as on some other treks, 5-6 hours, it is a challenging trek: require a good fitness level is a must and previous trekking experience is recommended. Among the amazing rock formations and glaciers, the Himalayas that are seen along this trail including, Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), and Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m) and other numerous mountain peaks. We start our trek from Jagat after driving there from Kathmandu. We hike on the Annapurna circuit route to Koto up to Meta from there we will cross the bridge over the Marshyangdi river leading to Nar Phu Valley. The narrow forest entrance opens up to a huge expansion of snow-capped peaks of mountains Kang Garu and Pisang and several others, ancient villages, ruins, and monasteries We will also come across yaks and blue sheep. Then after we explore the alpine valley over Phu and Nar Gaon and cross the Kang la to Manang, we will see great views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak. Then we cross the Thorong La pass and head to Muktinath, Jomsom, after a final stop at Tatopani to relax in the hot springs we drive to Pokhara then back to Kathmandu. The best time to trek to Nar Phu Valley is from March to May and September to Mid-December.

Day 1 : Arrival In Kathmandu (1,350M) & Transfer To Hotel.

As you arrive at Kathmandu Airport (Tribhuvan International Airport), finish your custom formalities (visa, etc.), and get to the airport waiting terminal, you will find Sherpa Expedition and Trekking representative waiting to greet you. He/she will be holding Sherpa Expedition and Trekking signboard. You will be then transferred to your hotel in our private tourist vehicle. You can either rest in your hotel or you can do shopping for a trek around Thamel.
Day 2 : Drive From Kathmandu- Besisahar- Jagat (1300M) Duration: 7-9 Hours.

After morning breakfast, We start your journey to Western Nepal via a Local bus to Besisahar. Besisahar is the headquarter of the Lamjung district. It takes about six to seven hours to reach there by bus. Microbus or bus takes you faster. From Besisahar, you take a Jeep through the beautiful countryside to Jagat. It takes about 2 hours to drive through a dusty road to reach Jagat.
Day 3 : Trek From Jagat To Dharapani (1,860M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Today after breakfast we start our trek, we cross a suspension bridge and after a steep climb up we enter the vicinity of the Manang region at the village named Tal, where we will see several waterfalls forming a river by the sandy beaches. Then after we follow trails through barley, rice, and potato fields. And pass through the village of Kodo then after we cross a suspension bridge, and after a short hike of the stone Kani, we reach Dharapani. We will spend our night at Dharapani.
Day 4 : Trek From Dharapani To Koto (2,610M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Leaving Dharapani, we will enter Nar Phu Valley which will take us around five to six hours. We will trek through pine and forests, monasteries, and villages to Bargarchhap. we can enjoy the stunning mountains views of Annapurna II and Mt Manaslu and other peaks along the way. The paths continue through pine forests till Latamarang which takes about one and a half hours. Finally, we will arrive at Koto, a small village inhabited by Gurung communities. We will spend our night at koto Village.
Day 5 : Trek From Koto To Meta (3,560M) Duration: 7-8 Hours.

Leaving Koto, After registering our restricted area permit at the police check post, we will trek along the banks of Soti Khola through wonderful pine forests, pass bridges and cascading waterfall and reach Dharamshala which takes about five hours. from Dharmaslala the woods become thinner and the vistas get wider. Then after continue trekking for about one and a half hours through forest ascending steeply till Meta village on the Tibetan Plateau. The views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal look great from Meta. We will stay in Meta at the teahouse.
Day 6 : Trek From Meta To Phu Gaon (4,250M) Duration: 7-8 Hours.

Leaving Meta, We will ascent and descent several times the trial along with a suspension bridge, we arrive at the deserted fields of Chyaku. Keep walking and reach a small pass with magnificent views of the Annapurna and reach Kyang, we can see outstanding views of Pisang Peak and Mt. Annapurna II from here then we pass the Phu Khola on a rocky path past the submarine rocks and maybe some campsites until Phu village which takes about three hours. We will see the colorful chortens that Nar and Phu are famous for as well as blue sheep. We get to experience the diversity of culture, nature, religion, we will see the people’s daily life and Tashi Lhakhang Monastery. We will continue trekking across a small glacial stream to a larger glacier stream with a half-bridge. An after one hour we will arrive at the Phu gate leading to Phu Village. The magnificent view of Himlung Himal and other snow-capped peaks is clearly visible. We will spend our night at Phu gaon.
Day 7 - Acclimatization And Preparation Day At Phu Gaon.

Today is our rest day at Phu village. we will visit the Tashi Lhakhang monasteries and a Hike to Himlung Base Camp (3-4 km) can be done today. Some people skip an extra day in Phu and prefer to hike Tilicho Lake from Manang instead then join Thorong La route at Yak Kharka. We will spend our night at Phu Gaon.
Day 8 : Trek From Phu Gaon To Nar (4,110M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Today, after breakfast, we will explore Phu village, After glims of Phu Village then we trek down the valley past several streams and suspension bridges until Mahendra Pul, which takes about 4 hours then we will hike up to a junction where the trail branches off to reach the small settlement of Nar Phedi. On the trail will see peaks of Kang Garu and Pisang Peak and pass by two chortens on the trail. we will spend our night at Nar Village.
Day 9 : Cross Kang La Pass (5,322M) & Trek To Ngawal (3,660M) Duration: 7-8 Hours

Leaving Nar, we ascend through the lateral moraine of Temdenzon Khola on a pleasant trail that passes yak pastures with defined views of the west ridge of Pisang Peak. we will hike to Jhombu Kharka also known as Kang la Phedi at the bottom of Kang la pass. Then after, We will cross the Kang La pass (5,322m) is a very steep ascent to the top but it's not too difficult. our walking will take about 2 hours to cross the pass. From the top of the pass, we will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Annapurna range and other peaks. Then after three hours of steep descent until we reach Ngawal village where we stay tonight.
Day 10 : Trek From Ngwal To Manang (3,540Mt) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

After breakfast, we will our trek to Braga Village passing Marsyangdi River. We will visit the famous monasteries in Barga village. then after the trail off to Tilicho Lake on the left corner and continue a short walk up to Manang, a settlement of the dramatic village. There are many guest houses, cafes, and even trekking shops in Manang. we will spend our night at Manang Village.
Day 11 : Trek From Manang To Yak Kharka (4120M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

After having breakfast, we head off on 4 hours an uphill trek to Yak Kharka passing through juniper forests and may see yak grazing in the pastures. On the way, we pass the only teahouse at Thorong Khola. Depending on the conditions we may decide to go a little further and stay the night at Letdar. We will stay in Yak Kharka at the teahouse.
Day 12 : Trek From Yak Kharka To Thorong Phedi (4,560M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

After breakfast, We Follow the Jarang River. Reach Thorong Phedi, a meadow surrounded by vertical cliffs. We will stay in Thorong Phedi at the teahouse.
Day 13 : Trek From Thorong Pedi Via Thorong La Pass (5,416M) To Muktinath (3,802M) Duration 7-9 Hours.

Today, Time to cross the highest navigable mountain pass in the world. you need to care about the altitude and strong winds. The trail we follow today has been used for hundreds of years by traders. from Phedi to trek for about 6 hours to reach Thorong La. Cross the pass while enjoying beautiful views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and other mountains. See Mt Dhaulagiri up close while descending. The trail becomes less steep as it enters grassy fields and meadows to finally reach Muktinath, one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus that is also known for its hot water spouts. We will stay in Muktinath at the teahouse.
Day 14 : Trek From Muktinath To Jomsom (2750M) Via Kagbeni Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After breakfast, we follow the trail to Jomsom from Muktinath. The trek past meadows, streams, and apple orchards to reach Kagbeni. Reach Jomson, located in the Kali Gandaki Valley, and we will spend tonight at Jomsom.
Day 15 : Drive From Jomson To Tatopani Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Today after breakfast we drive for 5 hours (shared service) from Jomsom to reach Tatopani. The main attraction of Tatopani is its natural hot springs. Take a dip in one of them and call it a day. We will stay in Tatopani at the teahouse.
Day 16 : Drive From Tatopani To Drive To Pokhara (850M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Leaving Tatopani, Approximately six hours bus or jeep drive from Tatopani through Beni Bazaar will take us to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful lake city popular for its natural beauty. A lakeside tourist's paradise with many facilities for visitors.
Day 17 : Drive From Pokhara To Kathmandu (1,350M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

After breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu via Prithvi Highway. Once again the scenic bus ride will keep us refreshed throughout the journey. On arriving at Kathmandu, you can once roam around this vibrant city and buy gifts and souvenirs to take back home.
Day 18 : International Departure As Per Flight Schedule
