Tour Overview
The Manaslu Trek is an adventurous classic trek to the untouched region of Nepal, which offers a great opportunity to experience the Himalaya scenery, beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, and rhododendron forests. Experts consider the around Manaslu trek among the best trekking destination in Nepal. Despite its recent rise infamous, the Manaslu circuit Trek remains remote and off-the-beaten-track compared to the better-known Teahouse accommodation treks in Nepal. The Manaslu trek takes you around Manaslu, the world's eighth highest mountain at 8,163 meters (26,781 ft). The Manaslu is the eighth highest peak in the earth, bordering the Gorkha and Manang districts in Himalayas Nepal. It is just 64km far from Annapurna Circuit treks. Literally, Manaslu is derived from Sanskrit with manasa means “Mountain of the spirit". This region encompasses everything from sub-tropical foothills to the arid Trans-Himalaya high pastures bordering Nepal and Tibet. This trek is just opened in 1991. Its popularity increased significantly when teahouses accommodation becomes available around 2009. The Manaslu region has no roads or alike and the hiking trails are excellent. Now Until Machhakholathere is road available. This combined with a high variation in elevation being from around 700 meters and get up to 5,106 meters is the reason why the Manaslu trek today is preferred over the Annapurna trek. Manaslu Circuit trek begins at Soti Khola and traverses through numerous alpine villages throughout the Manaslu region before concluding at Besisahar. A trekking permit is necessary before you can enter this region. Passing through the village of Arughat we head to Soti Khola where we begin our trek to Machhakhola, Jagat, Deng, Lho, Samagaun, Samdo, and Dharamsala. After heading to Larke La Pass (5106m), the highest altitude of this trek we head down to Bimtang and then drive Besisahar before heading back to Kathmandu. The Manaslu trek is challenging but if you are able to walk up to 6 hours a day, are determined and in reasonably good shape, you can do this trek. Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will take care of all paperwork required for this trek. We have more than 40 years of experience in Trekking and can be trusted to take good care of you and ensure your experience is a memorable one. Your safety is paramount!
