Khopra Danda Trek is One of the rarer trails of the Annapurna region with equally magnificent views of the high Himalayas peaks. The Khopra Ridge Khayer lake trek is one of the lesser-crowded treks through the Annapurna but which still Splendid views of the giants: Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) (Seventh highest peak in the world), mt. Nilgiri (7,061m), Bhara Shikhar (7,647m), Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Fishtail (6,997m), and other Himalayan peaks. This trek explores the Khayar Lake, considered sacred by Hindus religion, high pastures, and a temporary herder’s settlement winds its way through colorful rhododendron forests and through Tibetan-Tamang, Gurung and Magar village. This trek is reached by a steady climb through alpine meadows and pastures and provides an excellent viewpoint overlooking the Kali Gandaki River very far below in the world’s deepest gorge. From Khopra Ridge, the Himalayans are a panorama of shimmering snow and ice. Just only long walking day (and which can be, and with a panorama on the ridge to rival any viewpoint in the Himalayas, Khopra ridge trek is a great way to experience the beauty of the high Himalaya landscape and Annapurna mountains ranges in a more tranquil and solitude manner. If you're feeling up for it, option for the day hike to Khayer Lake: Hindus believe that dipping into the water here will help you achieve Nirvana. You'll also bookend your trek in Nepal's Kathmandu, and the lakeside city of Pokhara, home to the stunning Phewa Lake. This standard Khopra Danda aKhayer Lake Trek is an 12-day program. However, depending upon your time availability we can extend it to more days and even curtail it to 8-16 days if you are scarce of time. Day 1 : Arrival In Kathmandu (1,350M) & Transfer To Hotel.

As you arrive at Kathmandu Airport (Tribhuvan International Airport), finish your custom formalities (visa, etc.), and get to the airport waiting terminal, you will find Sherpa Expedition and Trekking representative waiting to greet you. He/she will be holding Sherpa Expedition and Trekking signboard. You will be then transferred to your hotel in our private tourist vehicle. You can either rest in your hotel or you can do shopping for a trek around Thamel.
Day 2 : Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara (850M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Today driving is adventurous and pleasant as it winds down hugging the mountainside through terraced fields. Following the side of Trishuli River, Riverside all the way up to Mugling where Trishuli River confluences with the Marshyangdi River. After crossing a bridge over Marshyangdi River we head further west to Pokhara. If we are on the right pane of your vehicle the journey today provides great opportunities to view cultivated terraced fields, rivers, streams, green valleys, rocky gorges, farmlands, and typical rural life of Nepal. We take a lunch break in a restaurant along the way. We will arrival in Pokhara, the naturally beautiful city with many crystal beautiful lakes We will spend our night at Pokhara.
Day 3 : Drive From Pokhara To Nayapul & Trek To Ghandruk (1940M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

After breakfast we will drive from Pokhara to Napapul then trek to off-road through a small village,syauli Bazar and Kimche, Then we climb up steps and continue to walk to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk, a village with vibrant Gurung museum, Buddhist monasteries and houses made of slate and stones. With magnificent mountain views and rich in Gurung traditions. We will stay in Ghandruk at the teahouse.
Day 4 : Trek From Ghandruk To Tadapani (2675M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

After breakfast, We leave the Gurung village of Ghandruk behind and we trek through rhododendron and oak forest. Ghandruk to Tadapani between there are no villages on this trail, but there are a few teahouses at the place called Baisi Kharkha (Buffalo Grassing place) to rest. We will see awe-inspiring views of Mt. Machhapuchhare (6993m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937m), Mt. Annapurna III (7555m), and other Himalayas peaks along our way.
Day 5 : Trek From Tadapani To Bayeli Kharka (3450M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

Leaving Tadapani we trek the fOne and half hours through the forest of rhododendrons and Primula. After that 4 hours of the gradual climb, we reach above the timberline with stunning views of the Annapurna ranges. Then after, we will stop for lunch my streams and continue through the through open countryside to arrive a small pass from here the path descends through rhododendron forest to a clearing known as Bayli Kharka, and the lodge. From this village, we can enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, which is the seventh highest mountain in the world.
Day 6 : Trek From Bayli Kharka To Khopra Danda (Ridge) (3660M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.
Location: Khopra Ridge

After breakfast, we will trek down through forests to reach the pastures of Chistibang Village. From there we trek for around two hours to climb above the timberlines to reach the ridge at Kopra, We might get to see Himalayan tahr and Danfe pheasant on the trail. Top of this village we will see amazing views on all sides of Mt.Dhaulagiri, Damphus Peak, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Mt. Annapurna 1, Mt. Annapurna South and deep down Sikha. We will spend our night at Khopra Ridge.
Day 7 : Hike From Khopra Danda To Khayer Lake (4,600M) & Return To Khopra Danda; Duration: 6-7 Hours.

After breakfast, we will hike to Khayer Lake, It can be the best morning of your life, trekking up to marvel the sun rising from Annapurna peaks to the east and its beams striking the Mount Dhaulagiri to the west. We trek up on the steep slope of the mighty Annapurna Himalayans range itself to reach Khayer Lake. The pristine Khayer lake sits in the lap of Mt. Annapurna South (7,219) making it a breathtaking view to witness. After spending some time the beauty and taking gigabytes of snaps we trek down to Khopra ridge.
Day 8 : Trek From Khopra Ridge To Swanta (2214M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

After visiting Khayer Lake, we will trek down a trail to reach the nice little village Swanta, with incredibly friendly people, it is also also the community cheese factory. Where not many other tourists come. We can explore the place as well as taste cheese. We will spend our night at Swanta.
Day 9 : Trek From Swanta To Ghorepani (2880M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After breakfast, We will trek down through the village fields to a small river then will cross the suspension bridge and head upwards to the village of Chittre, where will join the main trekking trail. Then after we climb up to reach the Ghorepani .we will enjoy seeing great views of theMt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchhre massif and a well-earned rest. We will spend our night at Ghorepani.
Day 10 : Hike To Poon Hill (3,210M) & Trek To Nayapul And Drive Back To Pokhara (8,50M) Duration: 7-8 Hours.

Early in the morning, we hike up to poon Hill (3,210m) for sunrise view over the whole Annapurna, Dhaulagiri massif including Mt Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), After taking natural view of sunrise and the warm sun kissing and surrounding rice terrace A favourite spot among photographers After visiting Poon Hill, we will trek down to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. We will spend our night at Pokhara.
Day 11 : Drive From Pokhara To Kathmandu (1,350M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Pokhara is located in a picturesque location by the side of Fewa Lake and is worth spending time after a Khopra Ridge trek. If you have buffer time after the trek, we suggest you spend a day in Pokhara instead of hurrying back to Kathmandu today. If you don’t have time you will drive back to Kathmandu today through the winding roads. You will spend your night at Kathmandu.
Day 12 - Final Departure Day.

The last day of your Khopra Danda Trek. You can use your hotel room up to 12 noon. It will cost additional if you need to occupy more time at the hotel due to your late flight. Three hours before your scheduled flight, Sherpa Expedition and Trekking representative will drop you to the airport and bid you farewell. We wish you a comfortable journey home and are sure you will take with you some wonderful memories of this trip.

Sherpa Expedition & Trekking requires a minimum deposit of 30% or the full booking value, whichever is less, with the final balance not due until 30 days before departure.
