Tour Overview
The Kanchenjunga Circuit trek explores both the north and south base camps of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world at 8,586m. Kanchenjunga is a remote area trek in Nepal, which requires a good level of fitness, and some trekking experience is desirable. Yet despite its remoteness, travelers gain insight into peoples’ way of life and can explore Ramtang and Oktang Monasteries. On this route, the landscape is filled with the river, beautiful waterfalls, green meadows, rhododendron forest, birch, and pine forests, the Yalung Glacier, and of course, trekkers are accompanied on the route by the majestic Himalayas. Mt. Kanchenjunga itself lies in the far eastern part of Nepal, close to the border with Sikkim, a tiny Himalayan state in the north-eastern part of India. Until mid-1800, it was thought Kanchenjunga was the highest peak in the earth. Kanchenjunga region was closed to trekkers until the mid-1980. Now the region is protected by the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and required special trekking permit. With these restrictions, the pretty and unique flora and fauna of this region is still in pristine condition. The Himalayas themselves with regards, in addition to the main peak of Mt. Kanchenjunga, there are four subsidiary summits over 8,000m, the most important being Mt. Kanchenjunga West, also known as Mt. Yalung Kang (8,505m). Also found in this area are approximately more than 15 peaks over 7,000m, the highest being , mt. Kambachen (7,903m), mt. Janu (7,710m), Jongsong (7,483m), mt. Kabru (7,353m), Tent Peak (7,365m), and the Twins (7,350m). In this region, there are many peaks over 6,000 meters. This is an impressive cluster of peaks are five major glacial systems. Of these, Zumu, Talung and Rathong flow into Sikkim while to the west, the Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Yalung glaciers flow into the mighty Tamor River of Nepal. The main highlights of trekking in Kanchenjunga is an unforgettable experience where trekkers get right into the heart of the remote, less trekked, less-crowded, culturally rich, high Himalaya mountains, and beautiful valleys. This is also an additional to trekking map of the Great Himalayan Trail, Nepal tourism is being promoted in this, as well as other, remote areas so there is the opening up of more teahouses on this region. This is also positive for the local communities, now really great time to go to Kanchenjunga trek before more trekkers ‘discover’ this remote area! This is a challenging demanding trek that requires physical fitness, technical knowledge, and determination. We trek with strong Sherpa proper rest and acclimatization to reach the high altitude destinations. offseason (December-February and June-August) there will we closed teahouse we need to camp some of the day's, proper camping tool will also be carried.

You will be trekking at a relatively slow and gradual pace as part of the acclimatization process. Cut off caffeinated, alcoholic and smoking items. Drink at least 4 liters of water a day. Trek slow. Don't skip the acclimatization days. Better to continue with Diamox (if any symptoms show up). Drink Garlic Soup.
