As beautiful as it seems when put in words, the reality is even more astonishing. 14 Days Gokyo Renjo la pass trek is an alternative trekking route in the Everest region for people who want to take a less crowded trekking route. All over the world with thousands of travelers coming every year, the Everest base camp route is getting more and more crowded. Gokyo Renjo La pass trek has unique highlights of its own as it takes us through pleasant mountain landscapes, lush vegetation, and the diverse Sherpa culture in the Khumbu region. This region is well-known for being home to the four gigantic peaks, namely Mount Everest (8848m), Mount Lhotse(8516m), Mount Makalu(8585m) and Mount Cho-Oyo(8201m). Gokyo Renjola Pass trek takes us into the heart of the Khumbu region into the Gokyo Village where we can immerse ourselves in the surrounding natural beauty of the Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri Peak. Gokyo Ri. which stands at an altitude of 5357 m, offers a magnificent 360 degree, panoramic view of all the High Himalayas. During this trek, we also climb into the well-famed ‘Renjo La Pass’ which is one of the main features of this trip. This trek requires a minimum of two weeks as well as good physical fitness, as it is a little bit more challenging treks than regular trek. The Gokyo Renjola Pass trek commences in Lukla and takes us through some unique landscapes and Local Sherpa villages via Namche Bazaar, Dole, Machhermo into Gokyo Valley. After Gokyo valley, we ascend to Gokyo Ri for some exquisite views of the mountains and then eventually into the thrilling Renjo La Pass. Day 1 : Arrival In Kathmandu (1,350M) Transfer To Hotel.
Location: Kathmandu

Upon arrival in the country of the Himalayas and ancient culture, you will be warmly greeted by our Sherpa Expedition and Trekking team at the airport. Later, you will be relocated by our representatives at the hotel in Thamel. Today no further activities.
Day 2 : Fly From Kathmandu To Lukla (2,800M) & Trek To Phakding (2,660M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

Today, Our journey begins the 30 minutes we board the flight from Kathmandu to the Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla. Marvel at the absolutely magnificent views as you fly above the Himalayas. After arriving at Lukla, we trek down to Phakding, through several villages encountering and learning about the local culture. We will stay in Phakding at the teahouse.
Day 3 : Trek From Phakding To Namche Bazaar (3,440M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After breakfast, we trek to the gateway to the Himalayas, Namche Bazaar. This grueling trek will present to make us a part of the local culture and people. As we walk along the Dudh Koshi river, enjoy the views of the majestic Himalayas that seem like a stone’s throw away. Upon arriving at Namche Bazaar, relax with some warm Tibetan butter tea. We will stay in Namche at the teahouse.
Day 4 - Acclimatzation Day At Namche Bazaar

Today is acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. This will help your body to adapt to this high altitude and prevent any possible AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). During the day stay active, roam around the beautiful town and explore their lifestyle. In the alternate, you can even hike to Everest view hotel and Khumjung village. overnight at Namche Bazaar
Day 5 : Trek From Namche To Dole (4,040M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After breakfast, we head to Dole. Along the route, enjoy the views of the majestic peaks of Kantega, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Mount Everest. After a few hours of walk, we finally reach the village of Dole which lies at the Dudh Koshi valley. We will stay in Dole at the teahouse.
Day 6 : Trek From Dole To Machharmo (4,407M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

After breakfast, we take a trail towards Machermom Village. This village is Lying just beneath Ngozumpa glacier, the longest icy mass in the Himalayas, Machermo is a rather small town which lies at the height of 4,470m. We will stay in Machermo at the teahouse.
Day 7 : Trek From Machermo To Gokyo (4,800M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.
Location: Gokyo

After breakfast, we will continue the trek over the ridge for more exotic views. Majestic Cho Oyu stands tall, right in front of us. Below is the gorgeous view of Khantega gorge, innate. Beyond the edge, the valley extends as the trail goes side by side to Pangram at 4,390m. We descend down to the riverside before we climb up to the fetal glacial deposit of the Ngozumpa glacier. Now, after a slightly higher ascent, we arrive at Gokyo, we will stay for night at the teahouse
Day 8 - Hike Up To Gokyo Ri (5,357M) And Back To Gokyo And Rest.

Today, early in the morning, we will conquer 5357m high Gokyo Ri from where we can view outstanding Mount Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Lhotse, mt. Makalu among others. We will then descend to Gokyo, then after the Lunch, We will also visit and relish the sight of magnetic Forth and Fifth Lake for a close view of Mt. Everest and many other mountains and take pictures. Trek back to Gokyo village. Tonight we will stay in Gokyo Village at the teahouse.
Day 9 : Trek To Lunden (4300M) Via Crossing Renjo La Pass (5340M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

After breakfast, we start our trek in the morning. Today is long but on the normal trail. We can see an amazing view of Mt. Everest from the top of the Renjo pass. Then we trek down to Lunden for our today’s final destination. We will stay in Lunden at the teahouse.
Day 10 : Trek From Lunden To Thame (3800M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

After breakfast we start our trek, the trail will mostly descend down to to Thame. While on the trail we can see amazing snow-capped peaks. About 150 meters above Thame, there is a Thame Monastery, a picturesque monastery set among the many homes of monks and lay people. It resides on the side of a hill overlooking the valley. It issite for the spring celebration of the Mani Rimdu festival, held about the middle of May every year. We will stay in Thame at the teahouse
Day 11 : Trek From Thame To Namche Bazar (3440M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

The Thame is a traditional Sherpa village that has escaped the crowds trekking to Everest and has one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region. The village is notably the hometown of Apa Sherpa who has made it to the summit of Mount Everest 21 times! The trek itself is peaceful with excellent views of the Himalayas as it winds in and out of the forest on the side of the canyon. Then after we continue our journey trekking down the hill from Thame. Today trek will be easy and short and the final destination for the day and the trip will be at Namche Bazar. Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner included.
Day 12 : Trek From Namche To Lukla (2840M) Duration: 7-8 Hours.

Today after having breakfast we leave Namche, the trail takes steep descent route crossing a Hillary suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and through dense forest. The trail retraces the route of Sagarmatha National park up to Monjo and then takes a steep descent to Benkar, Ghat, and Cheplung with the wonderful vista of sparkling peaks on the background. Eventually from Cheplung, we ascend for more than an hour and reach our today final destination at Lukla. In this evening time, there may be a party atmosphere at Lukla. Enjoy the moment and celebrate with our trekking team. We will stay in Lukla at hotel.
Day 13 : Fly From Lukla To Kathmandu (1350M) Duration: 30 Minutes Flight.

We’ll take an early morning short flight back to Kathmandu. You can make your own plan for the rest of the day. We recommend walking around the city of Thamel and buy some handmade souvenirs. You will stay in Kathmandu at the 3-star hotel.
Day 14 - Final Departure Day.

Today is your last day in Nepal you will drive to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight departure. Sherpa Expedition and Trekking team will then share our goodbyes and wish you a safe flight back home. With this, the trip concludes and you come to an end of the 14 Days Gokyo Renjola Pass Trek.

Sherpa Expedition & Trekking requires a minimum deposit of 30% or the full booking value, whichever is less, with the final balance not due until 30 days before departure.
