Tour Overview

Starting and ending in Pokhara, we loop around Ghandruk Ghorepani and Poon Hill, staying in the local guesthouse and trekking to the top of Poon Hill (3,210m) for the most spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range. The 4 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill trek does include little difficult challenges, on the way to Ghorepani, we hiking up a staircase consisting of more than 3000 steps and there are many rocky, uphill and downhill tracks. All of this is worth the effort when we are able to feast our eyes on beautiful Himalayas Peak including; Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Barasikha, Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Machapuchru (also known as Fishtail ), Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges and other snow-capped mountains are all there for us viewing pleasure. The trail follows the River Bhurungdi east past low land rice fields and dense rhododendron forest where we will see Langur monkeys playing and many species of birds resting in the trees. After Leaving the river, we ascend to higher ground passing traditional Gurung and Magar villages giving us the great opportunity to get to know the Nepali people and taste the local delicacies. We also offer extended versions of this trek in the Annapurna region, such as including the village of Ghandruk with its amazing architecture and traditional houses constructed of stone walls and slate roofs - Ghorepani-Poon Hill-Ghandruk Trek. Day 1 : Drive To Nayapul (1,000M) & Trek To Ghandruk (1,950M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

Location: Ghandruk

Today, we will drive to Nayapul, where we start our trek from. The drive takes 2 hours to Nayapul (42km) by private car/jeep. we start the trek from Nayapul along the trail ascends through beautiful rice, maize, and millet farms of locals villages. trekking along the main trail of Birethanti passed a small waterfall. the trail ascends all the way up to Ghandruk village. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village from where you can enjoy the mountain view of Annapurna ranges and Fishtail (Machapuchhre).

Day 2 : Trek From Ghandruk To Tadapani (2,650M) Duration: 3-4 Hours.

Location: Tadapani

Today, the trek begins through a beautiful rhododendron forest enjoying chirping birds. The stream runs down its clear and pure water as you climb up. We will come across the place named Bherikharka with some tea shops and lodges for a rest. It takes another two and a half hours to reach Tadapani passing through dense rhododendron forest. We spend our night at Tadapani.

Day 3 : Trek From Tadapani To Ghorepani (2,860M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Location: Ghode Pani

Accommodation: Hotel

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, we start the trek with a short descent till a small stream and then uphill through the dense Rhododendron forest. We come across a place name Banthahiti with the facility of tea houses and lodges. From Banthati, the trail ascends through the forests up to Gurung Hill. Then after the trail descends till Ghorepani. We spend our night at Ghorepani.

Day 4 : Hike Up To Poon Hill (3,210M) Trek Down To Nayapul And Drive To Pokhara (8,50M) Duration: 6-7 Hours

Location: Pokhara

Today, Early morning hike up to Poon Hill (3210m) takes about 45 minutes. Poon Hill is a famous viewpoint to see sunrise/sunset and majestic views of the Himalaya including; Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), and Lamjung Himal (6931m.) After enjoying some time in Poon Hill, trek back to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue descending to Nayapul. We will drive to Pokhara from Nayaooul that takes about 1:5 hours.
