Our base for this holiday will be the scenic town of Alpbach in the Austrian Tyrol and staying at the Hotel Andreas. During our break, we’ll take a trip to the beautiful Salzburg, famous for being the setting for The Sound of Music. We’ll also travel to Innsbruck to spend some time exploring this historic city.

Through Germany and into Austria to reach our hotel in Alpbach for five nights.
Day 3 : Dec 23 Swarovski Crystal World And Innsbruck

Today we’ll see some wonderful scenery around the Tyrol. After breakfast, we visit Swarovski Crystal World which celebrates the iconic crystal. Admire the Swarovski Giant, Chambers of Wonder and Crystal Cloud.
We then head to Innsbruck, where the city is filled with interesting monuments, such as the Triumphal Arch and the city’s Old Town. We include a guided tour where you will enjoy some of the highlights, including the iconic Golden Roof. There will also be time for a leisurely stroll through the Christmas Market. The market stalls are a treasure trove for Christmas tree decorations, handicrafts, woollen goods and souvenirs.
Day 4 : Christmas Eve Kitzbuhel

Today we visit picturesque walled town of Kitzbuhel. The town will be decorated for Christmas with its Christmas Advent event including a traditional Christmas Market showcasing gifts and delicacies of the region. Local choirs and music groups provide an atmospheric setting as we build up to Christmas.
Day 5 : Christmas Day Kufstein

Deck the halls - Merry Christmas to you all! This morning we make the short drive to Kufstein where we will enjoy a guided tour and visit to the imposing Fortress. Follow in the footsteps of enemy armies who tried to conquer the fortress and learn the history of the fortress on our tour and visit to its museum.
After our traditional roast turkey lunch at our hotel, you will have free time to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6 : Boxing Day Salzburg

The city of Salzburg makes for an excellent excursion, the city famous for being home to the Sound of Music. Enjoy the old town with its impressive fortress and cathedral, take time out to visit the house where Mozart was born or relax in the Mirabell Gardens.
There are numerous architectural styles to be found in Salzburg, including Romanesque, gothic, renaissance, baroque and many more modern styles. We’ll be able to admire this architecture throughout our visit, as well as exploring the city itself to see its many attractions.
Day 7 : Dec 27 Leave Austria

We leave Austria and head back towards Belgium for an overnight stay.
