Known as the 'Eternal City' of the Roman Empire, Rome is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with ancient buildings around every corner. The city has an immensely rich history and cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it one of the world’s most-visited capitals. Packed with attractions, and with something for absolutely everyone, we’re guaranteed to enjoy our time in this famous city.
We’ll be able to enjoy free time to explore to our heart’s content, so we can see some of the city’s best-known attractions. Take the time to discover St Peter’s Square, the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel or Trevi Fountain, the choice is yours.
Day 4 : Christmas Eve Frascati

We journey through the scenic countryside on our optional excursion, to the town of Frascati, located to the south east of Rome.
Frascati is known for its villas and also the famous white wines. Whilst here, we include a short visit to a pergolato, where we can sample some of the local produce.

Today you can join our fantastic included excursion to Pompeii, engulfed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79, where the inhabitants of this small town were literally frozen in time.

We see a remarkable excavation site and outdoor museum of the ancient Roman settlement. This will provide an unprecedented opportunity to see how people lived two thousand years ago.
