Day 1 : Arrival Ushuaia

Location: Ushuaia

Accommodation: Hotel, Standard - 3*

Accommodation Name: Patagonia Jarke or similar

Arrival in Ushuaia and transfer to your accommodation. Rest of the day at leisure to discover the city.

Day 2 : National Park, Canoeing And Trekking

Location: Ushuaia

Accommodation: Hotel, Standard - 3*

Accommodation Name: Patagonia Jarke or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

After covering the 10 km from Ushuaia to Tierra del Fuego National Park, this tour visits its most relevant attractions. On foot, and in contact with Nature, along the undulating 8-km-long Coastal Path, this medium-difficulty hike should not pose a big challenge to those passengers used to exercise, and with the appropriate attire. Those who prefer a less demanding activity may choose to walk along a few shorter, and softer trails (please request the “Soft Trekk” option in advance). Near the border of Lapataia River, lunch will be served with a great panoramic view from inside a heated dome-tent, to avoid wind or rain. Afterwards, all participants will be equipped with rubber boots, coverpants and lifejackets: the excursion will continue from Lake Acigami aboard inflatable canoes (duckies) for about an hour through the freshwater of the Lapataia and Ovando rivers until reaching the sea in Lapataia Bay. This canoe activity ends near the point where Route 3 (also called Pan-American Highway) meets its southern end.

Day 3 : Off Road Lakes

Location: Ushuaia

Accommodation: Hotel, Standard - 3*

Accommodation Name: Patagonia Jarke or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

After the departure from the hotel the tour goes through a glacial valley surrounded by snowy peaks up to the first stop at Garibaldi pass: the only road crossing the Fuegian Andes range. From here, high up the Andes Range, it is beautiful to see Lake Escondido, a small wonder at the bottom of the valley. Near the north end of Lake Escondido, and after leaving the paved road behind, the itinerary continues along a series of old paths that a sawmill opened in the forest, impassable for conventional vehicles, to approach Lake Fagnano, the fifth largest in Argentina. In the forest near the Fagnano coast there will be free time to walk and enjoy the place, while the guide prepares an abundant meal to be enjoyed comfortably in an exclusive refuge located in a natural environment, away from the noise of modern life.

Day 4 : Emerald Lagoon Trekking

Location: Ushuaia

Accommodation: Hotel, Standard - 3*

Accommodation Name: Patagonia Jarke or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

This hike is one of the most accessible that can be done in the southernmost city in the world. The main aim is to reach the Emerald Lagoon. After leaving the hotel we go in the north direction, about 20 minutes from the city. Once arrived the guide will explain to us that we must cross the Lasifashaj Valley along a very clear and marked path depending on the season of the year in which we are, we will cross several peat bogs and rocky terrain. After a little more forest, we continue our walk along the Esmeralda River until we reach the amazing Laguna Esmeralda, a small lake of glacial origin, which owes this name due to its color produced by sediments that come from the Ojo del Albino Glacier. This color can only be seen in summer, while in winter it will be frozen and covered with snow. While we enjoy the view of the Lagoon we will load our energies eating box lunch. We will be able to undertake the return, where the road will be familiar to us and we will have the last chance to appreciate the beauties that surround us. Once the walk is over we will meet again with the vehicle that will be waiting for us to take us back to the city of Ushuaia.

Day 5 : Gable Island & Penguin Colony + Harberton Ranch

Location: Ushuaia

Accommodation: Standard - 3*

Accommodation Name: Patagonia Jarke or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

This program is a beautiful journey into the almost uninhabited, peaceful location of the first "estancia" in Tierra del Fuego: Harberton Ranch. This full-day, active tour takes passengers for a ride, to navigate, to walk and to make discoveries in one of the roughest and most beautiful places in the Beagle Channel. From the hotel, we leave Ushuaia Eastbound along National Route No. 3 and Route "J". Once at Harberton Ranch we propose to visit the Marine Mammal Museum, and the surroundings of one of the first white men settlements in Tierra del Fuego. On board a motorboat we will leave towards Martillo Island. From the boat, we'll have the chance to see penguins in their breeding lair. Navigation on the motorboat continues up to the main attraction of the day: the enormous Gable Island, where lunch with a good Patagonian wine, soft drink and mineral water awaits. After coffee, we’ll go for a hike to know more abut this gorgeous island, crossing over beaver dams and through the forest to reach the Beagle Channel shore. From there we’ll take the boat to reach Puerto Harberton, and to hop on the bus back to Ushuaia.

Day 6 : Sailing The Beagle Channel

Location: Ushuaia

Accommodation: Hotel, Standard - 3*

Accommodation Name: Patagonia Jarke or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

We will enjoy a relaxing catamaran sailing through the historic and challenging Beagle Channel, the cradle of countless historic shipwrecks in these icy waters south of the Strait of Magellan. One of the objectives will be to obtain the typical postcard with the lighthouse behind us.
We sail from the tourist pier along the wide Ushuaia Bay, observing from another perspective the profile of the city of Ushuaia and the geographical distribution at the foot of the Andes Mountains; until reaching the Beagle Channel through the Paso Chico.
There we sail around the Island of the Birds where we appreciate the Fuegian birds such as Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Steam Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls. We go on around the sea lions’ island where we can see specimens of sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago. Upon arriving at the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators or also the colloquially misnamed the Lighthouse of the End of the World), we will be able to appreciate the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rocky Cormorants (similar in appearance to the penguins but of different species); and also listen to the sinking history of the SS Monte Cervantes that happened in 1930. At the end of the journey, you can be amazed by the view of the mountain range that surrounds the city of Ushuaia and the sumptuous nature that surrounds it. It is a tour of great historical and landscape value that we do, visiting privileged and interesting points throughout the trip, which you can discover by navigating the waters of the Beagle Channel. Is a pleasant and quiet journey.
