Tour Overview

Seeing the best of Delhi, Rajasthan, and Utter Pradesh our One Life tour will take you from the bustling streetfood stalls of Delhi to the winding alleys of Varanasi, with emersive visits to the most vibrant cities in the north. Not only will you have a western One Life guide accompany you on this journey, but in every city we visit we will meet one of our Indian Local Legends. These guys are proud to show you their home. They true locals of each city we visit so our guests will get the real local insights of every location. As with every One Life tour, it's packed full of must-see and must-do inclusions. You'll make an offering on a private boat on the Ganges at sunset, and ride camels over the dunes in the holy desert city of Pushkar, explore the streets of the famous Blue City of Jodhpur, and visit local villages by bike around Udaipur; the City of Lakes. We'll catch a Bollywood movie and visit the famous Monkey Temple in Jaipur, witness the Burning Ghats and the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi, and check out one of the Sikh "mega kitchens" which feeds thousands of people every day in Delhi. Of course what trip of India would be complete without the Taj Mahal? We not only do the classic sunrise at the Taj, but we catch the sunset from across the Umuna River the night before giving you a magic (and much quieter) view of this iconic monument. It doesn't stop there either, read the itinerary to find out everything else we do on our amazing India adventure!

It definitely exceeded my expectations.

11-Feb-2020

It definitely exceeded my expectations. It was my first time traveling with a tour and it was simply peace of mind. Everything was taken care of and we received so many valuable suggestions and information throughout the tour. The Tour guide (Imran) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. HE set the bar so high for any tour guide I will ever encounter.

This tour represents tremendous value for money.

03-Sep-2019

I did the One Life Adventures India tour as a solo female traveller. Let me tell you, I was nervous before I went! That all instantly left after I met Joe and our first local guide, Raj. Such nice guys and they obviously love what they do! For the distances we covered and what we did, this tour represents tremendous value for money. I didn't know how I would do on the overnight trains, but that was actually one of the most memorable things! Feels like such an adventure. The guys at Onelife keep you safe, entertained, and generally loving life and helped me find a new appreciation for my own life. I felt like this was more than a tour for me

This trip was a feast for all senses to say the least.

11-Sep-2019

India has always been a mysterious and mystical place I’ve been eyeing on visiting. I was debating whether to backpack alone or go with a tour group. I took the plunge and booked a tour with One Life Adventures as I saw they recently launched their tour and I’ve heard great reviews about them.. This trip was a feast for all senses to say the least. The vibrancy of the culture, the kind people, the spices and curries, it was all fantastic. It also helped the guide, Joe, was very accommodating with all our concerns, and made sure we had the best time! Can’t thank you enough, OLA for an unforgettable experience! Loved it!

A great introduction to India without the stress of traveling independently.

02-Sep-2019

A great introduction to India without the stress of traveling independently. First time in India and Joe and the one life team could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. The attractions were everything I was expecting and the experience was made easier by the onelife team. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone wishing to visit India, stunning scenery, stunning locations

Antonis

Loved every second of it.

03-Sep-2019

Loved every second of it. India is everything you want it to be. So much excitement and energy around every corner. Some of the big stand outs for me were just exploring the blue city to get some street food, and seeing how people live in the small villages outside Udaipur on our bike tour. While we were riding around and visiting the locals in their houses, I couldn't believe how friendly and hospitable they were to complete strangers. It helped to have our local guide Pritvi there with us! I wasn't expecting to stay in anything fancy, so was pleasantly surprised at accommodation, particularly at the Havlis we stayed in. It was like being in another age (except with aircon!). Food was amazing and the activities were brilliant. They have just the right mix. One day we were walking through the holy city of Varanasi, and another we're having a few drinks at a rooftop bar with the best views of Udaipur. Obviously the Taj Mahal needs no introduction, but I loved the fact that we got a bit of a more personal experience with the sunset at the Mata Bagh the night before we did the sunrise there. Really nice touch. The ethics of One Life are amazing and they met my expectations which were set on their Sri Lanka tour I did previously. No plastic, engaging with the locals, school visit, and supporting some womens empowerment initiatives like Women on Wheels. Cheers again guys!

Melissa

It ABSOLUTELY blew me away!

02-Sep-2019

I have just finished my One Life Adventures tour of India and it ABSOLUTELY blew me away! I was a little hesitant at first to go to India, but decided a group tour was the best way to go about it. I cannot recommend it enough. We got to see the real, authentic India which had some amazing inclusions. The value for money was incredible, and the work that these guys are doing with local communities etc is really cool to be a part of. I will 100% be booking my next One Life trip soon!

Wow, what an amazing tour!

16-Sep-2019

Wow, what an amazing tour! Have been looking for a diverse tour in India for a while and took the leap with One Life Adventures - I certainly wasn’t disappointed! I’m a solo traveller and travelling with One Life was amazing as you make so many friends, also the tour guide (Joe) was great in getting everybody involved! The accommodation exceeded my expectations, and the food, as you would expect with India was fantastic! Would highly recommend this tour and One Life Adventures. Looking at booking my next one already! ✌

Travis

I would do it all again in a heart beat.

11-Nov-2019

Had an amazing time on the One Life India tour over the summer. The tour itinerary and our guides were bloody brilliant! Having the local insights from the local legends really made the trip for me. We had a few nights in traditional style old houses called Havlis and you felt like you were stepping back in time. Beautiful camp in Pushkar too, and definitely recommend doing the optional hike in the morning! The itinerary showed us the best in such a short time. The food, the people, the sights and sounds were all epic. Yes there were some longer travel days here and there, but if you want to see it all then that's how it has to be! I would do it all again in a heart beat.

Cheyenne

I'm so glad that I chose One Life Adventures to go to India with

18-Nov-2019

Do it. Just do it. If you have every wanted to do India and weren't sure about it, this is the way you should do it. After getting back I just find myself thinking constantly back to my time on tour a couple of months back. It just stays with you like no other place does. I'm so glad that I chose One Life Adventures to go to India with as they have done a great job structuring their tour to get the most out of each location you visit. You want free time to explore? You got it. You want a local showing you the best spots in their home city? You got it. You want to see the most amazing places in Rajasthan? Done. It wasn't a place I fancied doing on my own, but somewhere I know I needed to go. Just stepping out of the hotel into the street is an experience. The best part for me was the walking tour we did around Varanasi. You can feel the history there and see how it has been unchanged for the last 1000 years. Passing street vendors selling tea, listening to the chanting of the holy men, smelling the spices and incense in the air. It's crazy. Something I will never forget and will have to go back and experience once again in my life
