Bozeman - Gardiner. Welcome to Bozeman, Montana. Our tour begins with a welcome meeting at the Best Western Grantree (address in Trip Notes) at 8 a.m. (unless otherwise specified in your tour documentation). Here, you'll meet your guide and fellow travellers. Afterward, we will depart for Mammoth Hot Springs.
Once we arrive at Mammoth Hot Springs, we will enjoy a winter picnic before getting ready for our afternoon snowshoeing adventure. We'll snowshoe for between 3-5 miles depending on the group preference - you'll pick snowshoeing up quickly, even if you have not done it before! After a thrilling day in the snow, we’ll head to Gardiner for the night, where we can relax and enjoy a well-deserved meal in one of the town’s lively local spots. Gardiner is located on the outskirts of Yellowstone National Park.
Please note: This tour has a flexible itinerary, and the below is a general guide of what you can expect on tour. Your tour guide may alter certain night stops to maximize your enjoyment; maybe you opt to visit a local event or stay longer in a certain place. The beauty of a small group tour is that the itinerary can also be adapted to suit the group’s preference! We encourage you to relax and go with the flow!
Day 2: Yellowstone National Park

After breakfast, we'll gear up for an exhilarating day of cross-country skiing. With our guide, we’ll hop on a ski shuttle to Bunsen Peak for a half-day adventure tailored to the group’s abilities. Whether you're a seasoned skier or a beginner, this exciting experience promises breathtaking scenery and a thrilling challenge for everyone.
We’ll enjoy a scenic picnic along the trail before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon, soaking in the beauty of our surroundings as we unwind from an adventurous day.
Day 3: Yellowstone National Park

Winters in Yellowstone are truly enchanting. The moisture in the air falls like diamonds in a sparkling haze, one of the many reasons visitors flock here. For us, it’s the perfect time to spot wolves in their natural habitat.
This morning after breakfast, we head out early for an exhilarating wolf tracking tour with our expert tracker. Winter provides the best chance to see Yellowstone's wolves, which are most active and visible during this season. We’ll have the thrilling opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures as they play, feed, and defend their pack in their wild, natural environment.
Our wolf tracking tour comes to an end around the mid-afternoon, we will have some free time to explore Mammoth Hot Springs before heading back to Gardiner, where we will spend the rest of our day.
Day 4: West Yellowstone

Gardiner - West Yellowstone. This morning after breakfast, we’ll journey to West Yellowstone aboard a snow coach, designed to glide effortlessly over the snow. With its oversized, low-pressure tyres, the coach provides a smooth ride and extra elevation, ensuring a comfortable journey through the winter landscape.
As we make our way to West Yellowstone, we’ll take a few breaks to view and photograph the wildlife along the route. After soaking in the sights, we’ll continue to West Yellowstone for lunch.
This afternoon, we’ll visit the Wolf and Grizzly Bear Center, included in our tour. This rescue centre gives us the chance to observe, understand, and appreciate grizzly bears and grey wolves up close.
Day 5: Yellowstone National Park

Today after breakfast, we will enjoy a full-day tour of Yellowstone's Grand Canyon by snow coach. Here, we’ll witness the dramatic waters and ice of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and have the opportunity to see the stunning Lower and Upper Falls, Gibbon Falls, Beryl Spring, and more! We’ll also hopefully encounter an abundance of wildlife along the Madison River, making for an unforgettable experience.
We’ll enjoy lunch on the way, soaking in the beautiful scenery as we travel. After a day of exploration, we’ll return to West Yellowstone where you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or grab a final dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 6: Bozeman

West Yellowstone - Bozeman. Spend your final morning of the tour on a thrilling half-day dog sledding adventure into Big Sky Country. Learn to ‘Mush’ as we immerse ourselves in a hands-on experience, driving our own team of dogs and interacting with a lively team of huskies. The Alaskan huskies are the true stars, showcasing their skills as winter athletes. There’ll be plenty of time to play with and pet the dogs, capturing stunning photos against a backdrop of snow-covered mountains and expansive vistas. A packed lunch and warm drinks are included on-site.
This afternoon, we’ll bid farewell to Yellowstone and head back to Bozeman, where our tour will conclude with drop off at approximately 5-6 pm.
