China's giant pandas are considered the most endangered mammals on the planet, with less than 1500 remaining in the wild. Of this number, 80% of them are located in Sichuan Province. This center is dedicated to breeding, research, and education. The facility covers over 92 acres, providing ample space for giant pandas and other rare and endangered animals. While here, don't miss the opportunity to visit the Panda nursery to get close to the center's infant population!

After the panda visit, explore the Wenshu Monastery, built during the Qing Dynasty under the guidance of Zen Master Ci Du Hai Yue in 1697. Make sure to visit the teahouse located inside the temple grounds, where you can enjoy a fine cup of green tea and some of the best vegetarian food in the city. Great Wall & Giant Pandas - 10 days

20-Sep-2024

Overall the tour was excellent. Just some feedback to improve future tours: The trip notes provided were not adequate for China. I had done my own research and knew to download Alipay to use my card in China, however no one else knew that so everyone had difficulty paying for items. Phone Coverage: A few tour members were caught off guard about not being able to access everything on their phone. If you use your international sim card (assuming you have a roaming package) you had access to everything, it also might be worth including more details on this on the trip notes. The days were long and busy, sometimes we didn't make it back to the hotel for a shower before dinner even though we were waiting around for 'free time' to finish a few times, I understand the need to assume there will be traffic delays but in most cases we would have had time to head to the hotel before dinner. Otherwise a great tour!
