This morning, join a guided stroll through the charming alleys of Baroque Rome, where you’ll admire iconic landmarks such as the enchanting Piazza Navona and the famous Pantheon (from the outside). Today, an exciting visit to the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum is scheduled. Begin by exploring the grandeur of the Colosseum, an iconic symbol of ancient Rome where gladiators once battled. Ascend Palatine Hill for stunning views and to uncover the origins of Rome. Then, wander through the Roman Forum, the heart of ancient Roman public life, where historic ruins and monuments offer a glimpse into the city’s rich past.

Day 4 : Rome To Sicily

Location: Sicily

After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Rome Airport for your flight to Catania. Arrive in Sicily after a 1.5-hour flight, and upon arrival, meet your driver for a transfer to your hotel in Letojanni. Check-in and take some time to settle in. In the afternoon, meet your group and tour leader for an introductory briefing. Then, head to Taormina for a guided walking tour of this popular Sicilian destination. Admire the natural terrace overlooking the sea, with views of the majestic Mount Etna, and visit the Greek-Roman Theater. Return to your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 5 : Mount Etna

Today, explore Mount Etna, the highest peak in Sicily and Europe’s most active volcano. After breakfast, stroll along the beach to the Letojanni train station and board a train to the village of Giarre. From there, take the Circumetnea train, a historic railway inaugurated in 1898, which circles the volcano and offers picturesque views of the surrounding villages. The excursion continues by bus to the Silvestri Craters (approximately 1,900 meters). Enjoy food and wine tasting at a local winery, with the option to reach higher peaks by jeep. Return to your hotel in Letojanni.

Day 6 : Siracusa & Ortigia

Today, enjoy breathtaking coastal and sea views from your train window as you travel from Taormina to Syracuse, one of Sicily's most fascinating sites. A guide will lead you through the Archaeological Park, renowned for its Roman amphitheater, Greek theater, and the Ear of Dionysius. Continue your exploration on the island of Ortigia, the oldest part of the city, with its narrow alleys, scenic sea views, and the beautiful square featuring a splendid cathedral. In the afternoon, continue your journey by bus to your next destination, Ragusa.

Day 7 : Sicilian Baroque

Location: Ragusa

Spend the day exploring the lesser-known yet captivating part of Sicily, renowned for its sumptuous Baroque architecture and numerous UNESCO sites. Begin your visit in the historic center of Ragusa Ibla, the aristocratic heart of Val di Noto, known for its impressive Baroque churches, palaces, and distinctive domes. Continue to Modica, another UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its chocolate and stunning architecture. Your final stop will be Noto, the capital of the late Sicilian Baroque. Day 8 : Agrigento

Incredible tour! This tour option...

Incredible tour! This tour option had a few scheduled tours, but also a lot of time for independent exploration on our own. We felt it was a perfect balance. If you are not the kind of person that likes to be shepherded from place to place on a tight schedule, this is a perfect option. The hotels we stayed at were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We opted to extend our tour by two extra nights, and while we were not able to stay in the same hotel our whole trip due to booking, the transfer process was still very convenient, and we even got a room upgrade at our second hotel. We would definitely travel with omega tours again!

Received excellent service and suggestions for a tour we planned for our son and daughter when they toured the Amalfi Coast in August. Hotels were all in great locations close to the action and all excellent 4 or 5 star. Would definitely use or recommend Omega tours to friends or family.

We used Omega Tours for a trip to Rome & the Amalfi Coast. Michael Rizzo did an outstanding job and answered all of my never ending questions. Planning and arrangements were easy with lots of suggestions and good advice. The drivers they arranged were on time, friendly and informative. The tours that they arranged were on time and the guides were well versed, our only issue was with one of the guides which isn’t a reflection on Omega. The hotels that were selected were very nice. The communication with Omega was good including when we needed some information while on the trip. I would definitely recommend them.

Just came back from my 11 days Portugal tours I booked through Omega tours. And I had wonderful time. I joined a small group tours, which is really great. The tour guide Myriam is one of the best tour guide I ever had. I always travel solo( and sometimes join a group tours )and tried to travel every year if I can . Very pleased with this well organized tour of Italy. A great balance of sightseeing and free time. Exceptional local guide and driver. I’m not sure I would consider the hotels chosen to be 4 star - with the exception of Hotel St Martin in Rome which was great - but the others were very clean and well located. Would definitely choose Omega tours again when booking group travel.

Most beautiful trip I've ever taken. Having all my hotels and pickup and drop- offs taken care of by Omega Tours made this trip so easy to enjoy! Michael was amazing.
