Day 3 : Gros Morne Touring

Location: Gros Morne National Park

Accommodation: Hotel

Accommodation Name: Shallow Bay Motel, Cow Head, or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Discover why Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is truly one of the highlights of your trip with a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay; be on the lookout for the bald eagles that frequent the deep waters of the fjord. Also, visit the Tablelands; this mountain of flat-topped rock of a kind usually found only deep in the earth’s mantle is an awe-inspiring sight. Today will be an unforgettable experience; some say the scenery that Gros Morne offers is unequaled in Eastern Canada.

OPTION: Passengers have the opportunity to request a scenic boat tour on Western Brook Pond and a visit to the Broom Point Fishing Premises instead of the standard scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay and a visit to the Tablelands. While some may find the boat tour on Western Brook Pond to be a more exceptional experience, it's important to be aware that there is a 45-minute walk (3 km/2 miles) from the parking lot to the dock and another 45-minute walk back. This alternative must be specified at the time of booking.

Accommodation: Hotel

Accommodation Name: Sinbad's Hotel, Gander, or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast

Have your camera ready as your time in Gros Morne National Park draws to a close. Travel through Central Newfoundland on to Gander, famous as the basis of the hit Broadway Musical, Come From Away; learn about the hospitality and generosity of the local residents during the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks when 38 airplanes unexpectedly landed there. Also, visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum which hosts a variety of artifacts and displays chronicling Gander's role in the development of transatlantic aviation.

Day 5 : Gander To Clarenville

Location: Clarenville

Accommodation: Hotel

Accommodation Name: Quality Hotel, Clarenville, or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

A scenic drive along the rocky coast of Notre Dame Bay leads to the beautiful outport of Twillingate where you will visit Long Point Lighthouse and the Prime Berth Fishery & Heritage Centre. Day 6 : Bonavista & Trinity Touring

Location: Bonavista

Accommodation: Hotel

Accommodation Name: Quality Hotel, Clarenville, or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today you will experience two quaint, historic towns. First, visit Bonavista, where John Cabot first arrived in North America in 1497. Learn about the hard life of the light keepers at Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site before continuing on to charming Trinity. Stroll the lanes and explore the many historic buildings preserved from the 18th century.

Day 7 : Clarenville To St. John’S

Location: St. John's

Accommodation: Hotel

Accommodation Name: Delta Hotels by Marriott, St. John's, or similar

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Continue on to the intriguing old seaport of St. John’s, your home for the next two nights. North America’s oldest city and Newfoundland’s capital boosts a stunning location in the granite cliffs and slopes of the Avalon Peninsula. Incredible tour! This tour option had a few scheduled tours, but also a lot of time for independent exploration on our own. We felt it was a perfect balance. If you are not the kind of person that likes to be shepherded from place to place on a tight schedule, this is a perfect option. The hotels we stayed at were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We opted to extend our tour by two extra nights, and while we were not able to stay in the same hotel our whole trip due to booking, the transfer process was still very convenient, and we even got a room upgrade at our second hotel. We would definitely travel with omega tours again!

Excellent Service!

01-Mar-2020

Received excellent service and suggestions for a tour we planned for our son and daughter when they toured the Amalfi Coast in August. Hotels were all in great locations close to the action and all excellent 4 or 5 star. Would definitely use or recommend Omega tours to friends or family.

We used Omega Tours for a trip to Rome & the Amalfi Coast. Michael Rizzo did an outstanding job and answered all of my never ending questions. Planning and arrangements were easy with lots of suggestions and good advice. The drivers they arranged were on time, friendly and informative. The tours that they arranged were on time and the guides were well versed, our only issue was with one of the guides which isn’t a reflection on Omega. The hotels that were selected were very nice. The communication with Omega was good including when we needed some information while on the trip. I would definitely recommend them.

Very pleased with this well organized tour of Italy

30-Apr-2022

Very pleased with this well organized tour of Italy. A great balance of sightseeing and free time. Exceptional local guide and driver. I’m not sure I would consider the hotels chosen to be 4 star - with the exception of Hotel St Martin in Rome which was great - but the others were very clean and well located. Would definitely choose Omega tours again when booking group travel.
