Beautiful Buxton & Chatsworth House at Christmastime

We experience the grandeur of Chatsworth House, the ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, which has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. Outside, the 105-acre gardens are also a real treat with perfectly manicured lawns, spectacular flower beds and a rockery garden, all of which can be explored by wandering on foot along the five miles of designated trails. There are plenty of sculptures to discover in the grounds too as well as numerous ponds and fountains, most notably the eye-catching Cascade waterfall which flows down 24 different shaped steps.
