Itinerary
Day 1
Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Boppard & The Rhine Valley
Location: Boppard & the Rhine Valley
Today we head south to the quaint Rhineland town of Boppard also known as ‘the pearl of the Rhine’. Boppard has many historic buildings and an attractive riverside promenade which invites you for a relaxing stroll by the Rhine. From Boppard we travel south along the banks of the Rhine to the picturesque town St Goar. We have a short stop here before continuing to our hotel in the Black Forest for a four-night stay.
Day 3 Titisee & Schluchsee
Location: Titisee & Schluchsee
Today, we offer an optional, full-day excursion around the southern Black Forest. Enjoy time in the picturesque resort of Titisee, famed for the lake of the same name and its crystal clear waters. Stroll around the souvenir shops, enjoy a slice of the fine Black Forest gâteau at one of the lakeside cafés or cruise on the lake and admire the surrounding scenery. We also visit the larger and equally beautiful, yet lesser-known, lake of Schluchsee. A haven for holidaymakers, Schluchsee offers pleasant woodland strolls and a bustling resort centre.
Day 4 Triberg & Freiburg
Location: Triberg & Freiburg
Join our included scenic drive through the beautiful Black Forest countryside to Triberg, which houses the largest cuckoo clock in the world and is home to Germany’s highest waterfalls. Plunging 163 metres, the falls thunder down the mountain over seven cascades. Browse the souvenir shops in Triberg or visit the Black Forest Museum. We then journey on to Freiburg, a medieval city overlooked by castle ruins and where you will find the famous ‘Red Bear’, reputedly the oldest pub in Germany!
Day 5 Freudenstadt
Location: Freudenstadt
Enjoy a leisurely final day in resort, or join our optional excursion to the charming town of Freudenstadt. Visit the famous market square, the largest in Germany, framed by arcaded houses and the impressive Stadthaus. Our journey back to our hotel takes us on a scenic drive through the heart of the Black Forest.
Day 6 Baden-Baden
