There will be free time for you to be able to explore at your leisure. See the late Romanesque building of St. Severus Church on the Market Square, the Carmelite Church originally built in 1300 or take a ride on the chair-lift for a bird's eye view of the Rhine Gorge (at own cost).
During the day there will be the opportunity to join an optional cruise along the Rhine. Our cruise, which lasts for approximately 1 hour, will take us through the Rhine Gorge, famous for its ancient castles, picturesque villages and vine clad slopes. Our cruise is a perfect way to view the splendour of the Rhine.
From Boppard we head to Koblenz to see the Christmas markets. . The traditional Koblenz Christmas Market is one of the most popular Christmas Markets in Rhineland palatinate. The festive stands spread over several locations in the Old City (squares such as: Munzplatz, Am Plan, Josef-Gorres-platz, Jesuitenplatz and and Willi-Horter-Platz) offer a huge selection of gift articles for the holiday table, as well as an extensive range of arts, crafts and Christmas decorations. All the flavours of Christmas are here, including spicy mulled wine and sweet smelling Christmas cakes.

Our included excursion today takes us Wiesbaden, one of Europe’s oldest spa town. The name Weisbaden translates as ‘meadow baths’ on account of its sprawling areas of parkland and its thermal baths. There will be time at leisure for you to explore all Weisbaden has to offer. Perhaps visit the historic old quarter home to the Old City Hall, New Town Hall and the Marktkirche.
Later, we head to the Rhine town of Rüdesheim. Rüdesheim has one of Germany’s prettiest Christmas markets with stalls representing different nations from around the world. From the heart of the historical old town, on the Market Square through the Marktstrasse, over the Oberstrasse to the world-known Drosselgasse. You can see further stalls on Rheinstrasse, by following Drosselgasse onto the Rheinstrasse and back to the Market Square, and in this way, Rüdesheim’s Christmas Market circles the old town. The festively decorated Christmas stands provide lots of handmade arts and crafts; candles, decorations, wood figures, wood carvings, glass engravings, ‘schwibbogen’ arched candles, mangers, pewter casters and dolls.
