Itinerary
Day 1
Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then travel to our overnight hotel.
Day 2 Bruges
Location: Bruges
We include an en-route visit to Bruges today with its canals, cobbled streets and shops selling the famous Belgian chocolate on almost every corner. The historic centre of Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a joy to explore. Afterwards, we continue to Breda and our hotel for 5 nights, the InterCity Hotel Breda.
Day 3 Delft
Location: Delft
With Grand houses, arched bridges, courtyards and narrow alleys, Delft is traditionally Dutch in appearance, but it is for the production of ceramic pottery that the town is most famous. We will have some free time to wander the pretty streets and canals before visiting Delft Pottery for a visit of their factory and to enjoy an afternoon tea.
Day 4 Antwerp
Location: Antwerp
Join our excursion to Antwerp. Today, it is Europe’s second largest port (after Rotterdam), one of the 10 largest in the world, and has much of the zest often associated with a harbour town. Famous for being the diamond capital of the world and one of the fashion cities of Europe, Antwerp is both stylish and confident. You will have time at leisure to explore the charming narrow streets, spacious squares and elegant boutiques which ensure Antwerp remains typically Flemish in character.
Day 5 Zundert, Van Gogh Museum & Nuenen Guided Walking Tour
Location: Zundert, Van Gogh Museum & Nuenen Guided Walking Tour
We start today by visiting the town of Zundert where you have some free time to explore. It is where Van Gogh was born on 30th March 1853 and where he spent his childhood. There is a popular walk taking in the main sights of his upbringing. In the afternoon we continue to Nuenen to visit the Van Gogh Museum followed by a guided walking tour of the town including where Van Gogh lived and worked.
Day 6 Gouda
Location: Gouda
Today we make the short drive to Gouda, famous for its cheese. The town hosts its weekly cheese market this morning with traditionally dressed locals selling the famous cheese on the square in front of the Weigh House.
Day 7
We depart our hotel after breakfast and return home.
