Day 1 : Arrival To Rome

Welcome to Italy! Check in one of our partner hostels in Rome. Meet your tour leader and the other travelers in the afternoon for a short briefing about the itinerary and what lies ahead on your trip. During the introduction, the guide will be at your disposal to answer your question and take down the booking of any optional activities you wish to add. Once settled in, get to know everyone sipping a welcome drink on us, it’ll be the perfect chance to break the ice and start off your tour with a bang. You will then all move onto an evening orientation walk of the Eternal city passing by the Roman forum, the Vittoriano monument and finally the Colosseum to admire one of the most important Italian sites under the sunset golden hour. The tour will then end in a charming local restaurant where you’ll enjoy a complimentary dinner filled with the authentic flavours of Rome. It’ll be the first of many experiences to fully dive into the Italian food culture along your journey with us.
Day 2 : Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican City & Lots More
Location: Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Vatican City, Rome, Spanish Steps, St. Peter's Basilica, Pantheon

Meet our guide in the morning for an orientation walk through the winding roman back streets to discover the most famous sites of the old city centre including Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Don't forget to throw a coin and make a wish! Be prepared to walk all day as there is no better way to explore a new city like Rome than on foot. Reach finally the Vatican city where you will be left free to visit the St. Peter's Basilica house of the Pope or book an informative 2h guided walking tour of the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel ( tickets of the Vatican museums are included ). If you feel like hanging later on at night, your tour leader will gladly show you around the coolest bars in town, we are always up for a good time!
Day 3 : Free Morning In Rome - Florence

You will have the morning to explore Rome in complete freedom, do some souvenir shopping or simply relax. In the early afternoon, you will catch a fast-speed train to Florence. At arrival, you will find our team waiting for you.
Check in to your accommodation and meet again with your tour leader for an original and fun orientation walk of the city to discover the new city and the local traditions. You will see the famous gothic Cathedral, the old bridge " Ponte Vecchio", and get to the best picture spots of the city. We will end the tour in one of the busiest streets of Florence renowned for the many bars where to hang out at night. Here we will stop at the bar rated by the locals as the best aperitivo place in town. Thanks to the great atmosphere you will try the Italian life style; seat down, socialize with the rest of the group, enjoy your drink and then eat and eat as much as you would like from the buffet of tasty Italian food.
Day 4 : Pisa And Cinque Terre Excursion By Train - Florence
Location: Cinque Terre, Leaning Tower of Pisa

An early start as the day will be dedicated to the visit of the famous Cinque Terre, the most characteristic villages of the Liguria region, famous for their natural beauty, scenic trails, spectacular coastline, sunny beaches and the pesto. On the way to Cinque Terre we will stop in Pisa to visit the icon of Italy, the famous Leaning Tower where our tour leader will tell you all you need to know about it and take you to the famous piazza for taking the best tower photo and climb it for the best experience if you choose to. We'll be back in Florence at 8:30pm.
Day 5 : Full Free Day In Florence
Location: Florence

Today you’ll get the whole morning to wander in Florence, check out the museums and famous monuments or stroll through the local leather markets in complete freedom.
If you don't want to spend the whole morning in the city, get out of the crowds and the traffic for a relaxing and fun day tour in Tuscany for some Chianti wine tasting in 2 cellars and the visit of the Medieval town of San Gimignano, famous for the world's best gelato. You’ll be right back to Florence on time to catch with your Ioab tour leader for the afternoon tour and sunset seeing!
The tour, in fact, departing at 7:00 pm, will take you off the beaten path to Oltrarno, the coolest district of Florence. This traditional and hip side of the river is where you’ll find all sorts of antique stores and local workshops with a big variety of goodies from handmade leather, jewelry and ceramics.
We will first explore San Frediano and Santo Spirito, two historical neighborhoods where we’ll find beautiful piazzas, see Pitti Palace, the Medici’s residence, and plenty of hidden gems along the way. The area is packed with bars and restaurants, which make it the local’s favorite spot to get a glass of wine, a fusion cocktail or a craft beer. Grab an unforgettable florentine panini and head up to Piazzale Michelangelo where we will end the day watching the sunset over the most beautiful view of the renaissance city.
Day 6 : Arrival To Venice
Location: St. Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge, Venice

Ciao ciao Florence, Venice here we come! We will catch the fast speed train from Florence train station and in only 2h we will reach Venice Mestre. After check in to our accommodation, we will head down to town for an orientation walk to get around the city of the many canals, the gondolas and amazing churches. We will make our way through the labyrinth of the Venetian streets or Calli, we will explore the most famous sights of the city, including the Rialto Bridge, the golden St. Mark Basilica, the Palazzo Ducale and you will learn how the Carnival masks are made. Once we reach the famous St Mark’s square you will have the chance to stroll around at your own pace and take a gondola ride and meet back just in time to catch some aperitivo! Your expert local tour leader will take you to the typical Venetian tapas bars to end the day sipping the world famous local Bellini cocktail.
Day 7 : Bye Bye Venice.

It’s time to say our goodbyes (sigh!) but don’t worry you’ll still have a day to explore Venice even deeper or to continue traveling towards your next destination. We’ll gladly help you out organizing further plans on your journey, other activities in Venice such as an island hopping tour or getting train tickets back to Rome if you need them. Just make sure you inform us in advance about your travel plans in order to help you as much as possible.
