Full of incredible experiences, from Sydney’s famous beaches and nightlife, to getting surf lessons from real Aussie surfer dudes in the famous Byron Bay. K'gari (Fraser Island) will have you driving 4x4's on the beach, followed by sailing around the stunning Whitsundays 74 tropical islands. Heading to Magnetic Island, followed by cruising the magical Great Barrier Reef, plus much, MUCH more! Day 1 : Welcome to Sydney

Today we’ll show you around the beautiful city of Sydney and learn about it’s fascinating culture and history. This evening we’ll head out for dinner and a few drink and show you the best of Sydney’s nightlife!

Day 3 : Bondi Beach & BBQ

Today we visit the world famous Bondi Beach where you can take a swim or just relax and work on your tan. We’ll then do the famous Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk and enjoy an Aussie beach BBQ and a few cold beers. This evening we jump on our overnight bus to Byron Bay.

Day 4 : Byron Bay

Explore the beautiful and famous surf town of Byron Bay. Chill out on the beach or work on your tan, live like a local! We’ll enjoy a night out this evening.

Day 5 : Surfs Up!

Location: Byron Bay

Today you’ll learn to surf with Aussie surfer dudes before enjoying a relaxing yoga class. The proper Byron Bay experience!

Day 6 : Lighthouse Sunrise

Location: Byron Bay

This morning is an early start as we get up to walk to the beautiful Cape Byron Lighthouse for sunrise. Taking in the iconic views we’ll chill out for the rest of the day.

Day 7 : Surfers Paradise

Location: Surfers Paradise

Today we head up to the iconic Surfers Paradise. We’ll spend the day exploring the city and chilling out on the famous endless white sand beach. We’ll then make sure all the essential stuff you’ll need to live and work in Australia is sorted including signing you up to our Oz Jobs Program.

Day 8 : Jet Boating

Location: Surfers Paradise

Get back to nature as you take in the breathtaking views of Surfers Paradise’s iconic coastline with an exhilarating jet boat ride.

Day 9 : Brisbane

We head up to Brisbane today and will get to explore the highlights of Queensland’s capital with a city orientation tour. We’ll then get to chill out at the only city man-made beach in Australia called ‘The Lagoon.’

Today is a free day to spend the day your way—head to Australia Zoo for some Aussie wildlife or relax by ‘The lagoon.’ Tonight we’ll crank up the energy with a night out in Fortitude Valley!

Day 11 : Rainbow Beach

Location: Rainbow Beach

Accommodation: Hostel

Heading up to the laidback coastal town of Rainbow Beach, we’ll get to kick back on the sand or take a stroll through town.

Day 12 : K’gari

Location: K'gari

You’ll be driving 4x4’s around the biggest sand island in the world, and spend the next 3 days on sand dunes and beaches. Our next swim stop is the beautiful turquoise waters of Lake McKenzie, followed by a float down the river of Eli Creek. Then we get to chill in the bubbles of the Champagne Pools. You will learn about the history of the Aboriginal culture on the island, spot dingoes in the wild, and see the stars as you sleep in a purpose built campsite with your group. Arriving back in Rainbow Beach, we’ll explore the colourful sand dunes before jumping on the overnight bus to Airlie Beach.

Day 15 : Rainbow Beach

Location: Rainbow Beach

Heading back to the laidback coastal town of Rainbow Beach, we’ll get to kick back on the sand or take a stroll through town before heading to Airlie Beach.

Day 16 : Airlie Beach

Location: Airlie Beach

Accommodation: Hostel

Once we’ve arrived in Airlie Beach, you can kick back at Airlie Beach’s awesome lagoon or go big with an optional scenic flight over the jaw-dropping Whitsundays. Chill vibes or epic views? Your call!

Day 17 - 19 : Whitsundays

Location: Whitsundays

Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

Today we’ll begin sailing the stunning Whitsundays, made up of 74 tropical islands. We’ll board our boat for the next 2 nights, relaxing and sunbathing on the deck as we sail to the outer parts of the Great Barrier Reef. See an abundance of marine life as you snorkel the fringing reefs. Next up is world-famous Whitehaven Beach, a stunning beach filled with swirls of fine white sand.

Day 20 - 21 : Magnetic Island

Location: Magnetic Island

Magnetic Island is our next stop as we jump on a ferry to this tropical paradise. You’ll stay in beachfront huts for the next 2 days as you explore this magical island. Explore the hidden beaches, as well as hike up the historic Forts Walk, and chill out in your ocean front hammock. You may even spot wild koalas and wallabies!

Day 22 : Mission Beach

Location: Mission Beach

Accommodation: Resort, Resort

Meals Included: Lunch

The chilled out beachfront town of Mission Beach is our next relaxation location. It’s also filled with adrenaline pumping activities that you may choose to do, from skydiving at 15,000ft over the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests, or white water rafting on the Tully River Rapids through the World Heritage Rainforest.

It’s time to tick off a huge bucket list item and spend a full day on the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll spend the day sailing and snorkelling unique outer reef locations in this World Heritage listed site. Tonight we’ll see what Cairns nightlige has to offer!

Day 27 : Atherton Tablelands

Exploring the Aussie oasis of the Atherton Tablelands is next for Cairns, where you will swim under waterfalls and dormant volcano craters, and slide down natural rock slides, all while learning about this extraordinary place from your experienced guide. The night will finish with a farewell dinner and drinks to toast to the incredible adventures and friends we have made.

  • Is there a limit to luggage that can be brought on the tour?

    No. However, we recommend packing relatively light as Australia is generally hot and we do move around a bit. We suggest anywhere from 10-20 kgs as a good amount.

  • Will I know the names and details of all the accommodation before I depart?

    Yes. We will provide a detailed accommodation list and guide.

  • Will there be an escort accompanying this tour?

    You will have a dedicated group leader with you throughout the entire tour.

  • What happens if a group doesn’t make its minimum required number of passengers?

    We will contact you with reasonable notice and offer alternative groups or dates. Or potentially operate the tour if no other good option is available for you.

  • What is the maximum age limit for this tour?

    Our trips are aimed at those aged 18 to 40’s. The majority of people that do our trips are aged 18 to 39, but we regularly have people in their 40's and occasionally 50’s travel with us who have an incredible time! As long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy to share your experience with people of different ages and backgrounds, you’ll fit in perfectly on any trip.

  • What is the fitness level required to do this tour?

    Low to medium fitness level.

  • Can you assist with pre or post tour accommodation?

    Yes. Just let us know at time of booking, and we will pre-book any pre or post nights accommodation at our properties. You can pay for these extras nights on arrival.

  • Are flights included in this tour?

    No.

  • Do you require a visa for this holiday?

    Possibly, it will depend on your nationality. Please contact us or speak to your local embassy or consulate for more info if needed.

  • What is the tipping policy?

    No tipping is required, it's all included in the tour price.

  • Am I contributing to any charity by booking the tour?

    We operate our own socially conscious initiative called Small Change that aims to protect the environment, promote cultural exchange, support local communities and protect animal welfare. We use money a portion of the money you pay for the tour to achieve or goals. We also plant 10 trees for every booking we receive.

  • What documents will I receive before I travel?

    An emailed 'Before you Go' Info pack along with access to the INTRO Travel App, which contains all the destination and tour information you'll need.

  • What is the maximum age limit on Intro Travel tours?

    Our trips are aimed at those aged 18 to 40’s. The majority of people that do our trips are aged 18 to 39, but we regularly have people in their 40's and occasionally 50’s travel with us who have an incredible time! As long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy to share your experience with people of different ages and backgrounds, you’ll fit in perfectly on any trip.

    At INTRO we want all group members to feel safe and comfortable whilst travelling with us. As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the use of facial coverings, hand sanitisers, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting processes, as well as social distancing measures will be practised where appropriate or deemed necessary on our tours.

  • What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?

    We offer free date changes up to 30 days before your start date. Within 30 days there may be some small fees incurred.
