Highlights
Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive In Split
Location: Split
Accommodation: Hostel
Landing in Split, you’ll jump in your included airport shuttle bus transfer to take you to the hostel near the Old Town. Once checked in you’ll have plenty of time to refresh before meeting everyone else in the group. Tonight we’ll head out for dinner and drinks.
Day 2 : Sail To Makarska
Location: Makarska
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Lunch
This morning is free to grab some breakfast and check out the sights of Split before jumping on our premium boat, aka home for the next week. We have en-suite cabins, air-con, huge sundecks and our own private bar… boat life is calling! As we begin sailing we’ll have a three-course lunch on board, before jumping into the water on our first swim stop. Later this afternoon we dock in Makarska, a beautiful resort town framed by mountains and beaches.
Day 3 : Mljet National Park
Location: Mljet
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Today we’re cruising to Mljet, a tranquil protected island in the heart of the Adriatic. Our boat will anchor in a secluded bay getting us acquainted with the Croatian routine - swim, eat, explore, repeat. After another feast of locally sourced food (think grilled meat and fresh veg), our boat will dock in town so we can roam the National Park by bike.
Day 4 : Discover Dubrovnik
Location: Dubrovnik
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
While we’re snoozing our boat will drift to the bucket-list ticking city of Dubrovnik. Poised elegantly on the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is famous for its magnificent walled Old Town, and plenty of Games of Thrones filming locations, of course! To take it all in we’ll hit the sea in some kayaks, checking out the view from the water before exploring by land with a guided walking tour. After the sun goes down we will dine at a local restaurant before seeing what Dubrovnik’s bars and clubs have to offer. Party in a fortress, anyone?
Day 5 : Sail To Trstenik
Location: Trstenik
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Leaving Dubrovnik, we’ll drift past olive trees and vineyards as our captain finds a hidden bay for us to anchor. Practice your flips, go for a snorkel, enjoy an ice-cold Ozujsko, it’s another tough day in paradise. Later this afternoon we’ll dock in the quaint fishing village of Trstenik. Famous for wine, we’ll wander the sun-dappled streets and take in Croatia at its most authentic. This evening we’ll dress a little fancy for the captain’s dinner and enjoy a few drinks on deck.
Day 6 : Explore The Venetian Town Of Korcula
Location: Korčula
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
After another stint at sea today we’re docking in Korcula, one of Croatia’s charming island towns. Ringed with walls, paved with marble, and built around a stunning 15th Century Cathedral, Korcula is a mini-Dubrovnik without the tourists. We’ll show you the sites, then the balmy summer afternoon is yours to explore the Venetian Old Town. Foodies will love the elegant restaurants on the town’s fringe, and those inclined towards a cocktail have plenty of sunset bars to seek out.
Day 7 : Get A Taste Of The High Life Hvar
Location: Hvar
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
You know the routine by now - swim, sunbathe and snorkel to your heart’s content, then this afternoon we’re sailing to the ritzy hub of Hvar. Playground of some familiar famous faces, this is where super-yachts meet Renaissance history. Climbing above terracotta rooftops, we’ll walk up to the Spanish Fortress for incredible views in every direction. Sun setting, music in the air, by now we’re fully acquainted with the Croatian lifestyle. There’s plenty of bars and clubs open ‘til early morning, so if you’re up to a big night, Hvar is the one.
Day 8 : Sail To Split
Location: Split
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
It’s our last day of sailing, but there’s plenty more exploring on dry land to come! Sailing back into Split, we’ll enjoy incredible views of the Riviera as well as gaining some insight into Croatia’s turbulent past with a walking tour of Split.
Day 9 : Visit Krka National Park & Waterfalls
Location: Split
Accommodation: Boat
Meals Included: Breakfast
After a final breakfast on our boat, we’ll say goodbye to the pirate life and travel to the epic Krka Waterfalls. Chasing these cascades is the perfect way to cool off in the summer heat, and the ultimate way to wrap up our Croatian adventure. On the way back to Split we’ll grab lunch in the beautiful old town of Skradin. Tonight we’ll give our Mediterranean fantasies one last hurrah with a final dinner and drinks!
Day 10 : Depart Split Or Extend Your Stay
Location: Split
Accommodation: Boat
Your Croatian sailing adventure must come to an end, but with a topped-up tan and a bunch of lifelong friends, there are worse ways to finish a trip! Those going home can make their way to Split airport or keep living the dream and travel on in Europe. Your group leader will be there for support every step of the way.
