Welcome to Lisbon! Upon arrival at the Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Lisbon

Start your day with a scenic tour of Lisbon with a local guide. You will visit several traditional neighborhoods in Lisbon including the Belem District, the birthplace of several Portuguese navigators from the 15th century. Learn about the cherished monuments and rich architectural structures in the city, such as the Belem Tower and the Jeronimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend your afternoon at leisure. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to Restauradores Square to explore the rich atmosphere of bustling bars and cafes. We suggest you take the “Elevador da Gloria” up to the Upper District to see the incredible views of the city.

Day 3: Lisbon – Fatima/Caceres – Madrid

After a delicious breakfast, get ready to travel north to Fatima. This town is the Sanctuary of Fatima, a major Catholic pilgrimage site. Every year, about 5 million people come to visit one of the largest Catholic pilgrimage centers in the world. Later, you will continue your journey through the Spanish border into Madrid. Lunch will be included en route in a local restaurant. In the evening you will be transferred to Plaza Mayor, where you will enjoy free time to explore the city before being transferred back to your hotel.

Today you will head on a comprehensive tour through the center of Madrid. Explore the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcala, Plaza de Colon, and Plaza Mayor. You will visit Retiro Park, an oasis in the center of the city, where you will see a beautiful lake and a Glass Palace. Upon admission to the Las Ventas Bullring, you will see the most famous bullrings in the world and learn about the tradition of “corri¬das” in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At sunset, you will be transferred to the Plaza de Oriente near the Royal Palace, an elegant bustling area with many restaurants. Your transfer back to the hotel will be included.

Day 5: Madrid – Zaragoza Poblet – Montserrat – Barcelona

Enjoy a delicious breakfast before departing for the region of Aragon. You will briefly stop in Zaragoza to see the Basilica del Pilar before continuing to the Poblet Monastery* for a guided tour. This is one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world. You will later stop at the Monastery of Montserrat. Later, you will travel to Barcelona, the famous capital of Spains Catalonia region. The city is known for its art and architecture, with incredible works like the Sagrada Familia Church and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudi. During your stay, take advantage of the spectacular shopping opportunities and incredible nightlife in the area.

You will get to see the works of Gaudi; a highly respected Spanish architect known for his individual and unique style. What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
