This 9-day self-drive tour through Croatia will guide you through the most beautiful coastal cities and fascinating medieval centers from Zagreb to Dubrovnik! Your journey will begin in Zagreb, the Croatian capital known for its exquisite churches, extravagant palaces, and bustling markets. Explore Gornji Grad, the legendary historic center known for its famous cathedral dating back to the XIII century. From there you will travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park to see the beautiful turquoise-blue waterfalls and terraced lakes. Your next stop will be in Zadar, where you can visit Krka National Park, known for its magnificent scenery and waterfalls, or explore the city — the gateway to some of Croatia's most famous attractions. Explore Split, one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia, where you will see the Diocletians Palace, built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century AD, and Jupiter's Temple, which was used as a symbol of power in the Roman Republic. Finally, you will set out to explore Dubrovnik, a breathtaking city situated on the Dalmatian Coast, known for its magnificent medieval walls that surround the city. See the Bell Tower Clock in the Old Town, dating to the 15th century, and admire the incredible Sponza Palace, one of the oldest buildings in the Old Town which survived the earthwork of 1667. Your self-drive tour through Croatia will come to an end in this incredible city!

Day 1: Zagreb Arrival
Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival at the Zagreb International Airport, you will pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. Zagreb is the country's capital and is a fascinating ancient city that contains many leisure places of tourists interests.

Day 2: Zagreb (B/-/-)
After breakfast, you will start your day by exploring Zagreb. Take a walk through the historical center of “Gornji Grad”, which is also famous for its Cathedral dating to the XIII century. The upper town is connected with the rest of the city with a funicular. Dont forget to visit St. Marks Church, the Church of St. Catherine, the Parliament, and the Government Palace.

Day 3: Zagreb – Plitvice (B/-/-)
In the morning you will depart Zagreb and travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Have your camera ready as you head on a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. Take in the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation.

Day 4: Plitvice – Zadar (B/-/-)
After a delicious breakfast, you will drive to Zadar. Upon arrival, you can visit Krka National Park from Zadar to uncover the natural beauty of the area. Admire the magnificent waterfalls, including the famous Skradinski Buk. See the local species of flora and fauna and visit the lake — or else you can explore the city of Zadar!

Day 5: Zadar – Trogir – Split (B/-/-)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Later, you will continue your journey to Split with an en-route stop in Trogir, a historic town built on a small island, connected to the continent with a stone bridge. This small town is a cultural treasure waiting to be explored. Make your way through the narrow streets and visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. From there you will continue driving to Split, one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia.

Day 6: Split – Dubrovnik (B/-/-)
In the morning you will set out to explore the inner city of Split, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletians Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. See the remains of Splits Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiters Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. In the afternoon you will drive to Dubrovnik – the “Pearl of the Adriatic”.

Day 7: Dubrovnik (B/-/-)
Dedicate your day to exploring the most beautiful town in Dalmatia. Visit the Rector's Palace, the Bell Tower Clock, Orlando's Column, and the Sponza Palace. You will also see the Dominican Monastery and the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, which is one of the oldest in the world!

Day 8: Dubrovnik (B/-/-)
Today you will make your way to the Dubrovnik International Airport to drop off your car and check-in for your flight back home.

Can I join the tour once it has departed?
Yes, but only in case it was previously agreed by both sides and arranged by us.

What documents will I receive before I travel?
Our e-document package includes all local contact details, daily itinerary, airline e-ticket information, service vouchers, and travel tips which should be everything you require to go on your trip.

If I need one, who is responsible to obtain my visa?
You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary, including having a passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the date of departure and a visa if required. Please check the Visa section in the Know Before You Go document for the countries you will be visiting.

Do you operate a “single share” option and how does it work?
No, not as standard. Solo travellers can book and occupy their own room for a supplement.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
