Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at Rome International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Rome

Day 2: Rome (Vatican Museum) (B/-/-)

Today after breakfast, get ready to explore the Vatican Museum and St. Peters Basilica. An expert guide will lead you through this remarkable journey, offering skip-the-line access to the Vatican Complex. Assemble at the meeting point to meet your guide and receive a headset for an optimal experience. Within a small group of no more than 25 individuals, you'll traverse the Vatican Museum's corridors. You'll encounter renowned highlights like the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries and the Borgia Apartments, each brimming with historical significance. Your guide will illuminate the Raphael Rooms, showcasing their exceptional frescoes, including the illustrious \"School of Athens.\" The climax of your tour unfolds within the revered Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo's iconic ceiling stands as a testament to the High Renaissance. This breathtaking masterpiece is sure to leave a lasting impression. Your exploration then transitions to the grandeur of St. Peters Basilica, a monumental architectural and artistic achievement. As you roam its vast interior, admire Gian Lorenzo Bernini's magnificent canopy and Michelangelo's renowned Pietà. To conclude your tour on a splendid note, you'll gaze upon the magnificent expanse of St. Peters Square. A masterpiece of Baroque design, the square is an architectural wonder reimagined by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This day promises a captivating blend of art, history, and spirituality as you immerse yourself in the treasures of the Vatican.

Day 3: Rome (B/-/-)

After breakfast. On this day you can explore the city at your own pace or opt for the optional tour to witness the highlights of Rome and it is a fascinating view with a panoramic tour.

Overnight in Rome

Day 4: Rome (Train) - Naples – Pompeii (B/-/D)

In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station for the departure to Naples by train. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Sorrento before stopping at Pompeii to visit its famous Archeological site. After the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii lay buried and forgotten for centuries under the lava. The excavations, which already began in the 18th century still go on today. You can walk through some of the ancient streets where you can see baths, forums and villas which were built by wealthy Romans in 80 BC. It is nearly unbelievable how well the fabulous frescoes that adorn the walls and floors of the villas have been preserved. Later you will Continuation and reach your hotel.

Overnight in the Sorrento area

Day 5: Positano - Amalfi (B/-/D)

Today after breakfast, you have the freedom to relax and explore the city on your own. Alternatively, you can choose to spend your day on the Amalfi Coast, one of the most spectacular coastlines in Europe. A Minivan will pick you up from the hotel for the Amalfi Coast drive, which is arguably the world's most beautiful and thrilling sightseeing road. Your English or German-speaking driver will provide general information during the journey, including how to spend your free time at each of the 3 programmed stops:

Positano is a true paradise, developed vertically with a tangled overlay of streets, alleys, and shops that showcase the colorful Positano fashions, well-known worldwide. In the town center stands the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta, boasting its large dome, tiled in majolica, and housing precious works like polychrome marble altars. It's a wonderful experience to get lost in Positano, fully embracing the town's beauty by walking without a precise destination. You'll have the chance to enjoy the streets, little shops, restaurants, monuments, churches, and beaches.

Amalfi, a picturesque interlacing of alleys and stairways, overlooks the sea, reflecting its extraordinary colors, creating an enchanting landscape. The town's name blesses the entire coast. Dominated by the majestic Cathedral dedicated to Sant'Andrea (St. Andrew), Amalfi showcases numerous testimonies of its glorious past as the Maritime Republic.

Ravello, another pearl of the coast, is an elegant and refined village immersed in greenery and characterized by luxurious villas. Ravello is famous worldwide for its Festival, held in the garden of Villa Rufolo, where an evocative setting and the emotion of listening to great music create an experience of extraordinary intensity. The heart of Ravello is represented by Piazza Vescovado, framed by the architecture of Palazzo Rufolo and the Cathedral with its magnificent portal (the first ever made with this innovative mold technique) and a 10-foot-high bell tower.\"

Booked Mystical Egypt tour with them visiting Cairo and a 03 Nights Cruise from Luxor to Aswan in May. All services were perfect since the time we arrived at the airport, we were met by a hospitable Indus Representative who helped us with the purchase of local SIM and currency exchange. He was always there in time to assist for transfers. The Amwaj Cruise which we took from Luxor to Aswan was a Gem. We had great guides and all sightseeing worked like a clockwork. We enjoyed visiting Karnak Temples, Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo and the boat ride to see Phillae Temple. Evening entertainment on cruise were great and engaging. In Cairo and Aswan, we had ample leisure time to explore on own, the Pyramids were impressive and visiting Khan e Khalili was fun. Overall and impressive and enjoyable tour, Thanks to Indus Travels!

Indus Travel runs a highly professional organization. From customer service to brochures, bookings, tour guides, etc. and the consideration for their customers is superb. This was the first time I had travelled with Indus Travels. We took the Taste of Portugal Tour. Group numbers are small, accommodation comfortable and food excellent. The expert guide who accompanied us was outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging, and entertaining. This company is obviously at the heart of the itinerary planning, and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a fun, relaxed, educational vacation with fine food - they will deliver! We will never forget this trip and we are already planning for another one to Wonders of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

We were looking for a customized, small group tour. We took a chance on Indus without knowing much about the company. We just returned from our trip to Greece and are more than highly please and satisfied with our experience. They planned an amazing itinerary, booked amazing hotels, hired knowledgeable tour guides and arranged high quality transportation services. Everyone went above and beyond to please us. We are already planning a trip for next year (2024) and will definitely use Indus to do so.

07-Mar-2024

My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to Mexico from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya Culture trip really gave us opportunities to learn Mexico indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families toexperence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star. I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, Kathlene helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

13-Nov-2023

I booked a trip with Indus to South Africa and had a fabulous time! It was easy to book the trip online and any questions I had were answered very quickly by Sabine. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and in good locations. Our tours were well organized and our safari in Kruger National park was definitely a highlight. A few mornings had a bright and early start, but this allowed us to accomplish quite a lot in a day. The hotel restaurants had decent food, which was convenient if we had a longer day and didn't want to go out to eat. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and I felt the price for my tour was excellent value. I would definitely use Indus again!

11-Jul-2023

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour taken after Egypt opened back up to tourists, particularly Americans. Went in November and weather was beautiful. Decent hotels and overnight Nile cruise. You will see a lot on this tour and be aware there are some early wake ups. Lots of walking but doable if you're in decent shape. Overall a fun tour with all the sites you have only seen in books!

24-May-2024

Indus has some very good tour itineraries at very competitive prices. I called with several specific questions about land only vs. air included, and they were immediately responsive, and within hours had the website description updated to assist anyone else who might have the same questions. I called again with specific questions about insurance, and the first person to answer the phone was completely knowledgeable based on past experience and gave me good advice. Four stars vs. five only because I just made the booking yesterday, and withhold one pending how this whole trip turns out two months from now.
