Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at Adolfo Suarez Madrid–Barajas International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel to check in. Enjoy free time to rest or explore the area until your tour begins. Please make sure you check the information posters in the hotel reception area for information regarding the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers. Towards the end of the day, we will provide transfers to the Egyptian Debod Temple, Plaza de Espana, and Gran Via; a vibrant district where you can dine at your restaurant of choice; Indian, Chinese, Spanish, and Middle Eastern food are a few of the options available.

Day 2: Madrid (B/-/-)

After breakfast, you will head on a comprehensive tour through the center of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcala, Plaza de Colon, and Plaza Mayor. You will visit Retiro Park, an oasis in the center of the city, where you will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Admission to Las Ventas Bullring will be included. This is one of the most famous bullrings in the world where you will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At sunset, you will be transferred to Plaza de Oriente, situated opposite the Royal Palace in an elegant and lively area where many restaurants serving international cuisine can be found for a pleasant dinner (Indian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Spanish, and International - these are not included). You will be provided with a return transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Montserrat - Barcelona (B/-/-)

Early in the morning, you will depart Madrid and travel to Aragon. Enjoy a brief stop in Zaragoza, a fascinating city known for its grand cathedrals and museums. Your guide will join the group to Basílica del Pilar. Afterwards, the group will have free time to visit this impressive sanctuary and explore the city center. Later, make your way to Cataluna to visit the Monastery of Poblet, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world surrounded by magnificent walls (entry and guided tour included). You will then go to the Monastery of Montserrat, where you may enjoy a ride on the rack train amidst breathtaking views. Finally, continue your journey to Barcelona, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day in this lively, colorful city that is known for its magnificent architecture, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere.

After a delicious breakfast, you will head on a city tour that will take you to many tourist destinations in Barcelona. You will explore La Rambla – a vibrant street in Central Barcelona that connects Placa de Catalunya with the Monument of Christopher Columbus. You will then get to see the works of Gaudi; a famous and highly respected Spanish architect known for his unique style of architecture. See his famous masterworks including La Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera along Passeig de Gracia. At approximately 6:00 PM, you will be transferred to Girona, a small Catalan city known for its beautiful historic center, where the extraordinary cathedral stands out with its great staircase. Spend the evening at leisure to get to know this fascinating city at your own pace.

Day 5: Girona - Careers Of Light - Chambery (B/-/-)

This morning, you will cross the border into France and drive across Provence. En route, you will make an important stop in Arles, a small World Heritage City where you will remember Van Gogh and see the Roman Theater and small Romanesque churches, you will arrive in Nimes, a significant city in the Roman Empire, where concerts and bullfighting are still held in its ancient amphitheater after nearly 2,000 years. Take some time to stroll around the city and have lunch. You will receive admission to Carrieres De Lumiere, an impressive show of art, imagery, and underground sound, in former quarries. At the end of the afternoon, you will stop at La Garde Adhemar, a magnificently conserved village in Provence with breathtaking views of the Rhone Valley. In the evening you will arrive in Chambery, the extraordinary capital of Savoie, a medieval city with a beautiful Old Town and a great castle.

Day 6: Chambery - Geneva – Gruyere - Leysin (B/-/D)

After breakfast, We travel to Switzerland. Geneva, arrival. With our guide, we will go to the Palace of Nations (the headquarters of the United Nations in Europe) to the pretty English Garden with its clock made of flowers and we can admire the “Jet d´Eau”, the tallest fountain in Europe. We go on to the picturesque walled village of Gruyere, known worldwide for its cheese. Free time to stroll and have lunch. Nearby are several of the main chocolate factories in Switzerland (Nestle amongst them), and we visit the Cailler chocolate factory, with a tasting included! After this, we go on to Chillon Castle, built in the waters of the lake. Entrance included to this fantastic medieval castle. We will continue traveling through smaller roads amidst bucolic mountain landscapes and very picturesque wooden villages. - Arrival in Leysin, a beautiful little holiday village with spectacular views of the Rhône plain and Mont Blanc, known for its winter sports resort or its hiking possibilities. Dinner included.

Day 7: Leysin - Interlaken - Lucerne - Zurich (B/-/-)

Today´s stage has beautiful high mountain scenery. Don´t forget your winter clothes, we climb to one of the most spectacular spots in Switzerland where you can see ice and snow all year round. We include the cable car ride up to Glacier 3000 where you can walk on the suspended bridge in the gap between two mountain peaks, enter the Ice Cathedral, or “play” in the Fun Park. Stop in Interlaken and find time for lunch. Among very picturesque lakes we continue to Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Continue to Zurich, where there is time for a stroll downtown before going to the hotel.

Following this memorable experience, you will embark on a leisurely boat cruise along the river Seine, providing panoramic views of Paris as it divides the city into its northern and southern halves. After the cruise, you will have a free afternoon to explore Paris at your leisure. Around 16:00, you will depart for Rouen, a city renowned as a living museum with its charming houses featuring half-timbered walls, narrow streets, and Gothic churches.

From there, you will set out to explore the north of France. Continue your tour to London, where you will arrive in time to explore the city, see the Tower Bridge lit up, and admire the modern buildings. Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
