Day 1: Split Arrival

Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival at the Split Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure – you can set out to get a taste of the daily life in Dalmatia. Founded as a Greek Colony, Split became a permanent settlement in 650 AD and has been ruled by Romans, Byzantines, and Venetians, and Italian, French, and Austrian Rulers, each leaving an indelible mark on its history and culture.

Overnight in Split

Day 2: Split — Island Brac (B/-/-)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Port in Split to board your ferry ride to Supetar. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Bol on the Island of Brac. Small stone houses and beautiful winding streets, dotted with pink and purple Germaniums, are commonplace in Bol. The town is best known for Zlatini Rat — a seductive pebbly beach that stretches into the sea and boasts the perfect conditions for swimmers and windsurfers in the summer.

Overnight in Bol, Brac Island

Day 3: Island Brac (B/-/-)

Spend the day at leisure to explore Brac at your own pace. As the third-largest island in the Adriatic, Brac is also home to the highest peak in the Adriatic Sea – the Vidova Gora. You can climb up the 778-meter peak to uncover panoramic views of the town of Bol and its famous beach. The area also offers magnificent views of the surrounding islands of Hvar, Vis, Korcula, and the Peljesac Peninsula. For a leisurely day, you can make your way inland to visit the village of Skrip, the oldest settlement on the island. Visit the local museum to get a taste of the islands history. You can also visit the Sculpting Academy in Pucisca – one of the few stone masonry schools in Europe and a place of the finest quality craftsmanship.

Overnight in Bol, Brac Island

Day 4: Island Brac (B/-/-)

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will set off to discover the beauty of Brac at your own pace. Stroll through the area to see the most beautiful hidden spots on the island. A dirt road through a beautiful black pine forest will take you to a rare natural phenomenon known as Trolokve – three natural pools of rainwater where wild animals come to drink. If you are lucky, you may be able to see them. You can also visit Pustinja Blaca – the 16th century Blaca Monastery is in the middle of nowhere. The impressive buildings in the middle of the barren land have been converted into a museum, where the last inhabitant monk here passed away over 50 years ago.

Overnight in Bol, Brac Island

Day 5: Island Brac (B/-/-)

Spend your day lazing around the famous beach of Zlatni Rat – one of the finest beaches in Europe. You can also make your way through the winding streets of Bol, searching for little gems in its historic buildings, many of which have several stories to share.

Overnight in Bol, Brac Island

Day 6: Island Brac — Island Hvar (B/-/-)

After a delicious breakfast, you will depart your hotel and set off to explore the Island of Hvar – the most popular tourist destination in Croatia and the sunniest spot in the country. Hvar is one of the two most famous wine-making centers in Croatia. It is often referred to as the “Island of Lavender” due to the extensive areas that cultivate lavender – the regions most important crop. Upon arrival in Hvar, you will transfer to your hotel. Spend the evening free to leisure to get a taste of the towns lively nightlife. Its lively bars have attracted Prince Harry, Beyonce, and many other celebrities.

Overnight in Hvar Town

Day 7: Island Hvar (B/-/-)

Today you will explore Hvar City – the oldest tourist center in Dalmatia, and a treasure trove of cultural and historical monuments. The central square of Hvar is one of the largest in Croatia. The town developed around this square starting in the 13th Century in the north, encircling it to the south by the later parts of the 15th Century. Familiarize yourself with the incredible landmarks in the area, between the 17th Century Theater, potentially the first civic theater in Europe, the 13th Century Arsenal, the Cathedral of St Stephen, and the small castle at the top of the hill. The architectural and historical wealth of the town will leave any visitor breathless. You can also visit the Franciscan Monastery, which is known for its rich art collection, including Ingolis “Last Supper”.

Overnight in Hvar Town

Day 8: Island Hvar — Trogir (B/-/-)

After breakfast, it will be time to bid farewell to Hvar and set off to explore Trogir – a fascinating historic town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by Medieval walls, this small town boasts a profuse collection of Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance buildings from the 13th-15th Century, while the history of the town dates back to 300 BC. Visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence with the famous main portal made by Master Radovan, the 15th Century Town Hall, the 15th Century Cipiko Palace, and the 11th Century Benedictine Monastery.

Overnight in Trogir

Day 9: Trogir — Split — (B/-/-)

Booked Mystical Egypt tour with them visiting Cairo and a 03 Nights Cruise from Luxor to Aswan in May. All services were perfect since the time we arrived at the airport, we were met by a hospitable Indus Representative who helped us with the purchase of local SIM and currency exchange. He was always there in time to assist for transfers. The Amwaj Cruise which we took from Luxor to Aswan was a Gem. We had great guides and all sightseeing worked like a clockwork. We enjoyed visiting Karnak Temples, Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo and the boat ride to see Phillae Temple. Evening entertainment on cruise were great and engaging. In Cairo and Aswan, we had ample leisure time to explore on own, the Pyramids were impressive and visiting Khan e Khalili was fun. Overall and impressive and enjoyable tour, Thanks to Indus Travels!

Indus Travel runs a highly professional organization. From customer service to brochures, bookings, tour guides, etc. and the consideration for their customers is superb. This was the first time I had travelled with Indus Travels. We took the Taste of Portugal Tour. Group numbers are small, accommodation comfortable and food excellent. The expert guide who accompanied us was outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging, and entertaining. This company is obviously at the heart of the itinerary planning, and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a fun, relaxed, educational vacation with fine food - they will deliver! We will never forget this trip and we are already planning for another one to Wonders of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

We were looking for a customized, small group tour. We took a chance on Indus without knowing much about the company. We just returned from our trip to Greece and are more than highly please and satisfied with our experience. They planned an amazing itinerary, booked amazing hotels, hired knowledgeable tour guides and arranged high quality transportation services. Everyone went above and beyond to please us. We are already planning a trip for next year (2024) and will definitely use Indus to do so.

My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to Mexico from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya Culture trip really gave us opportunities to learn Mexico indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families toexperence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star. I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, Kathlene helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

13-Nov-2023

I booked a trip with Indus to South Africa and had a fabulous time! It was easy to book the trip online and any questions I had were answered very quickly by Sabine. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and in good locations. Our tours were well organized and our safari in Kruger National park was definitely a highlight. A few mornings had a bright and early start, but this allowed us to accomplish quite a lot in a day. The hotel restaurants had decent food, which was convenient if we had a longer day and didn't want to go out to eat. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and I felt the price for my tour was excellent value. I would definitely use Indus again!

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour taken after Egypt opened back up to tourists, particularly Americans. Went in November and weather was beautiful. Decent hotels and overnight Nile cruise. You will see a lot on this tour and be aware there are some early wake ups. Lots of walking but doable if you're in decent shape. Overall a fun tour with all the sites you have only seen in books!

24-May-2024

Indus has some very good tour itineraries at very competitive prices. I called with several specific questions about land only vs. air included, and they were immediately responsive, and within hours had the website description updated to assist anyone else who might have the same questions. I called again with specific questions about insurance, and the first person to answer the phone was completely knowledgeable based on past experience and gave me good advice. Four stars vs. five only because I just made the booking yesterday, and withhold one pending how this whole trip turns out two months from now.
