Start this tour in Vietnam, known for its floating markets, Vietnamese coffee, and rice terraces. We will be traveling from South Vietnam to its Northern sides as we explore the beautiful country in the best possible way. The journey begins in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), home to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, a remarkable underground network used during the Vietnam War. Cherish the boat ride along the Mekong River and have views of fisherman villages and fruit plantations as you learn about the local culture closely. The tour continues to Hoi An, an absolute dreamy city. Admire its historical charm and shop for amazing souvenirs like raw silk, lanterns, and much more. Go for a street food tour in Hue and taste the local delicacies of Vietnam. The next day, take a flight to Hanoi. Spend a day exploring the city of lakes. Travel to HaLong Bay, a Natural World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO and enjoy your cruise excursion. Your time in Vietnam ends and you fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia, the gateway to the Ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Head on an otherworldly tour of Angkor Wat, the biggest temple complex in the world, and visit Angkor Thom, a fortified city enclosed by wide moats, before your tour of Vietnam and Cambodia comes to an end!

Welcome to Saigon – Vietnam! Upon arrival, transfer from Tan Son Nhat airport to the center of Saigon then check-in at hotel. Leisure time to relax and get rid of jet lag.

You will start the day with breakfast, followed by a city tour at the Reunification Palace, the witness of the fierce Vietnam War that ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions. Nearby the Palace are the colonial-styled Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883 and one of the citys major landmarks. Our last stop this morning will be War Remnants Museum. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we drive overland to Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese guerrillas to protect the region against the American attacks during the Vietnam War. We can even crawl into a part inside the tunnel and visit their infirmary plus kitchen to discover how people survived there. Back to your hotel later on.

Day 3: Saigon – Mekong Delta - Saigon (B/L/-)

This morning after breakfast, we leave Saigon for My Tho, in the heart of the Mekong delta and visit the beautiful Vinh Trang pagoda on the way. Upon arrival, we will take a leisurely boat ride along the river and view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, and have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre. Enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit& honey tea to the sound of \"Southern Vietnamese folk music,\" performed by locals. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village.

Together with our guide in Hoian, well walk over the tile-roofed Japanese Bridge, visit taciturn Chinese Assembly Halls, visit ancient houses and Trading Houses, pagodas and stroll into the market located by Thu Bon river, where we may find out the same feelings of the artists, who see the rooftops of Hoi An a magical old world of Oriental feel and source of inspiration. There is also a wonderful town to shop for lanterns, soft silk, and raw silk, or get your clothes tailored within a day.

Once you have had your breakfast at the hotel, we will depart from Hoian to Hue by deluxe minibus. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hue to drop off your luggage. Being recognized by UNESCO as the 1st Cultural World Heritage for Vietnam, Hue is highlighted by the old royal architectural works and the most traditional Vietnamese lifestyle. This morning, we will discover the city's charm from the Royal Citadel, Forbidden City. Move on to the colorful Dong Ba market, where you can see many ingredients for making Hue local food and explore the local business life. The best way to explore a local culture is through its unique cuisine. Around noon, we shall embark on a special street food tour to discover the other side of Hue. Our journey starts with Sticky rice dumplings on a fried dumpling (Ram It) or Filtered tapioca dumplings (Banh Loc) to the well-known Hue beef vermicelli soup (Bun Bo Hue). The street food tour finishes at a small restaurant that serves Sweet soup (Che), a scrumptious local delicacy made of tapioca and various local ingredients. Or, if the sweet soup is not your style, a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk awaits.

Wake up early and run to a lake close to your hotel to see how people in Hanoi spend their mornings. You can join an exciting scene of hundreds of locals, passionately attentive in their morning exercises of Tai Chi Quan, jogging, martial arts, classical dance and so on. After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage designated by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006, and check in our overnight cruise. Enjoy a trip to Halong with stops to visit caves or swim and enjoy the sunset on the sea. Dinner with fresh seafood.

Day 9: Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay - Hanoi (B/-/-)

After breakfast, gear up the exploration of Angkor complex temples, the UNESCO World Heritage by first visiting the ancient capital of Angkor Thom starting with the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Bayon Temple - unique with its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces, Baphuon temple located in the North of Bayon represented of holy Mount Meru the residence of the gods in Hindu tradition. Continue visiting the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of mans creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. This temple is famous by being chosen for major activities of Tomb Raider acted by Celebrity Angelina Jolie. Afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, highlighted by the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, carved on the walls and tell the stories of Hindu legends. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Strolling around this massive edifice, seeing many galleries with Columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.
* The upper level of the Bayon temple is closed for renovations. The land parts remain open as usual. Visitors will still be able to visit the Bayon temple on the lower level as well as all other Angkor temples as per schedule.
* During the visit to the Bakan tower of the Angkor Wat temple, visitors must wear appropriate attire, covering the shoulders and knees, as this temple is still considered a holy place (shorts or miniskirts are not allowed) . Children under the age of twelve are not allowed to climb this tower. It will be closed on Buddhist Sabbaths, Buddhist religious days, four days a month according to the lunar calendar. (**To climb the Bakan tower, now only 100 people are allowed to enter at a time, so visitors have to queue).

Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
