OVERVIEW From the slopes of Aberdare to the bank of Ewaso Ng'iro river in Kenya, and home of kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves to the floor of the great rift valley where the flamingo's throng the lake’s shore in thousands. The 8 days Great Kenya Safari will take you to different premium parks within the country from which the chances of seeing all the big 5 is almost guaranteed. The safari blenders the nature, wildlife, landscape and culture in a way like none other. The visit to masai mara game reserve is one that will always remain in your memory especially if it is during the migration time when thousands of gnus and herds of other animals are crossing the flooded mara river. There is nothing fascinating as watching the crocodiles waiting for the crossing and the gnus daring them.

Morning pick up from Nairobi hotel/airport. Depart for 4 hours drive to Aberdare National Park with a short game drive en route to The Ark Hotel.
Day 2 : ABERDARE-SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Early breakfast. Check out with a short game drive at the Park. Drive to Samburu National Reserve. Game drive in the Reserve en route to Ashnil Samburu Camp arriving for lunch. Afternoon game drive and return to camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3 : FULL DAY AT SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Early morning game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River in search of Leopards, Lions, Crocodiles and more…after breakfast relax on the swimming pool. After lunch have a late afternoon game drive in search of more animals… Gerenuk antelopes, Reticule giraffes and the Gravy zebras that are only found at the North of the equator. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4 : SAMBURU- SWEETWATERS

Day 5 : SWEET WATER-LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast and return to your base hotel {Aberdares country club}. Check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Sarova Lion Hill game Lodge in time for Lunch. The lake is famous for its numerous flamingoes among other 400 bird species including pelicans, Cormorants, Secretary bird, Heron, Hammer kop, Egret and Grebe. Being rich in bio-diversity the park provides home to Lions, Hippo, Waterbucks, Zebra, and Leopard among others. Large sized pythons also inhabit the dense woodlands. Afternoon game drive and bird-watching around the Lake shore. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 6 : LAKE NAKURU-MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Depart after breakfast and drive to the great rift valley and the Loita plains on the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Game drive en route to Ashnil Mara camp arriving in time for Lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of the Big 5, giraffes, Zebras.... Crocodiles, Hippos and birdlife along the Mara river. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 7 : FULL DAY MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Location: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Accommodation Name: Ashnil Mara Camp
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Morning game drive in the reserve. The reserve is known for the annual wildebeests’ migration, its exceptional population of the Big 5, Hot Air Balloon Safaris, giraffe, and Roan antelope, Impala, Grant’s gazelle, Warthogs, Zebras Hippopotamus and Crocodiles in the Mara River and over 400 species of birds. Return to the Lodge for breakfast. Midmorning leisure followed by afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 8 : MASAI MARA-NAIROBI
Location: Nairobi

Check out after breakfast and game drive out of the Reserve to Nairobi arriving at your hotel for lunch in the afternoon.
