Wonderful Trip

13-Jan-2023

The last year in the middle of the pandemic I had a wonderful trip to Egypt organized and provided by Egypt Tours Club. This year I came to revisit the same places and to visit the new ones. I had a 15 day custom maid tour provided by the same tour company Egypt Tours Club. I would like to thank Ibrahim who organized this tour and Ali who drove me around his beautiful country. I would like to thank their knowledge, professionalism, supreme friendliness and punctuality. I would like to thank Fekry in Sharm El Sheikh and Anwar and Ali in the Siwa oasis. This time I had an opportunity to visit again the Pyramids in Giza, Saqqara and Dahshor, visit again the bustling Cairo with the Egyptian museum, the new National museum of Egyptian Civilization, wonder around Khan el Khalili, Coptic and Islamic Cairo. I had an opportunity to visit Sharm El Sheikh, Alexandria with the very interesting library and other attractions and the wonderful and the unique Siwa oasis. My visit to the Siwa oasis was the very unique experience and was the best part of my trip. I would like to notice the most wonderful accommodation in Cairo where I could watch the Nile river in all the times of the day, a very nice location in Alexandria where I could see the Mediterranean sea the accommodation in the Siwa oasis with the local super friendly family. Egypt has it all: the most ancient civilization, the very welcoming people, the natural beauty, the very tasty food. It makes us to want to come back again and again.

We really enjoyed Egypt

02-Feb-2022

We just today completed our much anticipated travel in Egypt. We rate Egypt Tours Club a very strong “4” (or 4 1/2) for the quality/variety of the itinerary and the service and reliability of their guides and support staff. Also, I feel the price paid represents really good value compared to other company’s offerings. Their responsiveness to email and WhatsAp inquiries was very timely. ETC missed a “5” due mainly to the two hotels used, one in Cairo, the other in Sharm al Sheik. Although rated 5 Star I do not feel they are up to that level and that ETC should consider alternates or offer an option to upgrade to better as part of booking. Regarding the itinerary, the Nile Cruise and ship Tuya were wonderful. The night camping in the White Desert was truly magical. The overnight train to Aswan was interesting for sure. Although Abu Simbel isn’t in this itinerary, ETC accommodated our request and modified the itinerary to include that at an additional and reasonable cost. Of course, the pyramids and Egyptian Museum were great to see and experience. Our Cairo and desert guide Mohammed (Jimmy) was very informative about Egyptian history and especially on culture and religion. He was fun to travel with as well. Egypt has its own tempo and rhythm. It does not run like a Swiss watch or German train. Some patience has to be exercised regarding on time performance, cleanliness standards and traffic...especially Cairo traffic! My wife and I are veteran foreign travelers but have put off traveling to Egypt for safety concerns. After having spent two weeks traveling the country with Egypt Tours Club my impression is that Egypt is safe and that the government has instituted many security procedures to assure the safety of tourists and its citizenry. We would definitely come again and we would definitely consider ETC to develop an itinerary for us.
