4th time, Excellent as always

15-Jul-2024

Outstanding once again. I have booked with Egypt tours club 4 times now through a very helpful and lovely man Ali. This time we booked a Cairo day trip and luxor day trip from hurghada. The Cairo day trip was amazing with sights of the pyramids and museums alongside a nice buffet lunch included. The tour guide Mohammad gamal was excellent. His knowledge was vast and his care and hospitality was brilliant. He was very friendly and nice to talk to. The luxor day trip was even better in terms of historical sites. Witnessed the valley of the kings, Hatshepsut temple and Karnak temple alongside a classical lunch in Egyptian cuisine. The guide was also great here with so much knowledge about Egypt in general and luxor. Learnt more this time round than the first 3 times. Both the guides were very good and could answer any questions we asked in near perfect English! The service and punctuality was on point. Private car service for me and my friend made it much more relaxing. Ali himself keeps in contact through WhatsApp providing any answers to queries and making sure the trip as a whole goes smooth for you. Overall, excellent and would highly recommend anyone to book through these guys, so much easier and relaxing than those bigger and less personal tour guide companies. 10/10 ...more ...less

Incredible, magical, mystical by Egypt Tours Club

30-May-2024

Tracy B Tracy B 53 contributions 0 An Unforgettable Sunrise with My Husband Jun 2024 • Family The climb up Mt. Sinai was a challenging, rewarding experience. We had a 3 hour journey from The Savoy at Sharm El Sheikh to St. Catherine’s and then the climb began. We planned this experience to climb during the night to be at the summit for sunrise. Our guide, Shaaban, was helpful throughout the journey up and down. If you could request a guide, Shaaban would be an excellent choice. He was kind and patient! There was another young man who assisted me on the way up and down as well. He made the walk much easier. The trail is made up of switchbacks to make the grade bearable for all to walk on. Once close to the top, there are 750 “steps” to the summit. When the sun rises, the view is exceptional. The colors of the sunrise and the landscape are not to be missed! Tips: *Dress in layers to accommodate temperature change as you ascend and descend. *Have water to keep hydrated. You can also purchase some at the rest stops on the way. *Don’t hesitate to ride a camel up in order to save your legs for the steps and the walk down. *Before you go, take advantage of Youtube videos that people post to get a feel for what the trail steps are like. Since childhood, I have had a strong desire to see the pyramids, and I am pleased to report that they did not disappoint me in the slightest. The person that led us for the day was Jemmy, and she was exceptional. She has a remarkable depth of knowledge, exhibited a warm and kind demeanor, and proved to be an excellent companion for the whole day. Once we depleted our water supply, she promptly stopped at a vendor and purchased more water for all of us without seeking permission. We appreciate your efforts in making our vacation exceptional, Jemmy! She made me feel at ease, all while being extremely knowledgeable of all the sites. She’s also a bit of a celebrity around town, so that was cool to see everyone love to see her. 😂 She even squeezed in a camel ride I had had to cancel the day prior. If you come to Cairo, ask for Aziza! Shawna L Shawna L 74 contributions 1 Incredible, magical, mystical Cairo by Egypt Tours Club Mar 2024 • Couples I was in touch with this group about six weeks before our planned travel. We wanted to create an itinerary in Cairo that did not duplicate the tour we had already booked, so I sent the information to Yousri directly and outlined the types of experiences we were looking to have. (I found out later that ETC hosts tour experiences around all of Egypt). Egypt Tours Club did not disappoint! From our assigned tour guide - Gemy - to our scheduled visits to Old Coptic Cairo, Garbage City, St. Simon Monastery, Old Islamic Cairo, Khan El-Kalili bazaar, Wadi Al-Hitan (Valley of the Whales) and the Fayum Oasis Safari, each visit was placed into historical context and Gemy explained the culture, customs and architecture with clear understanding of Cairo's place in history and the millennia that shaped this fascinating city. Highlights for us included wandering through the narrow retail/shopping alleys at Khan El-Khalili - such a visual and visceral treat! - filled with artisan crafts, souvenirs, food stalls and textiles of every imaginable shape and color. Valley of the Whales, where fossils tell the story of the whale changing from a land based animal to an ocean-going mammal and considered the most important site in the world for the demonstration of this stage of evolution. It was mind boggling to walk among the actual excavated skeletal structures and see where they took their final breath at the bottom of the ocean 37 MILLION YEARS AGO!!! Likewise, rolling through the dunes of the endless and white sands of the Fayum desert in a tricked out 4x4 was an exhilarating experience. Our driver took special measures to make sure we got the thrill of our lives on this ride and we laughed all the way through the high dune climbs, spin outs in the sand and rambling off road adventures! The price was very reasonable for three days private experience which included hotel pick up and drop off, our guide, our driver, applicable entry fees and water throughout the tours. Finally, and most importantly, I'd like to take a moment to address the safety of our experiences: At no time did we feel unsafe or threatened. In fact, quite the opposite. All of the sites we visited had increased safety measures in place, with visible security presence, bag checks and quite friendly staff addressing every need. Our guide, Gemy, was acutely aware of the concerns of (especially) American travelers and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable at every stop we made, and along the way. I would not hesitate to recommend Egypt Tour Club to friends and family, and look forward to engaging with them again when we return to this ancient, magical, mystical country. ...more ...less

An adventure through Egypt

10-Mar-2023

This was an amazing adventure trip I got to enjoy with a group of friends. Our tourguide Youssa was extremely knowledgeable about the pyramid and took us to all the amazing sights. We visited Cairo, Esna & Luxor. While cruising the Nile river and the experience of going through the Esna Locks was a sight to see. The shopping was great and we had an excellent guide. My only concern was the train ride extremely bumpy and the sleeper cabin's needs updating. ...more ...less
