Today, you will explore the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still exists (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Are you ready to explore it from the inside?
Today you will hear about the history of the pyramids, how they were built, and why they were built? Then on to the first pyramid in history, the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara.
Day 3 : Tour to Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili

Explore the fabulous contents of the historical Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Thousands of artifacts from all periods of Egyptian history are displayed on the two floors of the museum.
From the museum to the Citadel of the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin, which was built in 1172 to defend Cairo against the Crusaders. The White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha is a prominent feature of the citadel. You will finish your tour today at the historical bazaar of Khan El-Khalili, the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Then, transfer back to your hotel.
Day 4 : Cairo - Alexandria

On this day of your 21-day Egypt expedition, you will explore the enchanting City of Alexandria, once the capital city of Egypt during the Greco-Roman period. Upon arrival visit the famous Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. The catacombs are huge Egyptian tombs and royal cemeteries with Ptolemaic and Roman influences. The catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa are one the largest Roman burial sites not just in Alexandria but in Egypt. These catacombs started as a private tomb for a wealthy family, then became a public cemetery. The catacombs house more than 300 tombs.
From the catacombs to the Pompey’s Pillar. Many of the ancient historians did not tell us more details about the “Pompey’s Pillar” but about the buildings that stood nearby and have disappeared now. The hill on which the pillar is erected was covered with temples and houses a long time before the Roman era. It was the place of the Citadel of Rhakotis. A temple was dedicated to Osiris-Serapis was built on the mountain.

Day 5 : Alexandria - Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel then visit the Citadel of Qaitbay. The Citadel of Qaitbay in Alexandria is one of the most important fortifications in Egypt. It was constructed by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay to defend Egypt against the Ottomans/Turks.
Then to the Library of Alexandria. The Library of Alexandria is a great library and culture center, not only in Alexandria but on the Mediterranean coast and the whole world. You will end your tour at the Roman Amphitheatre of Kom El-Dekka. The Roman Amphitheatre in Alexandria is one of the great highlights of the beautiful city of Alexandria. The Amphitheaters were not just popular in Egypt, they were popular in other countries as Italy, Greece, Jordan and Turkey.

Day 6 : Cairo Spiritual Tour

Enjoy a spiritual tour to the Community of Religions in Cairo. The tour includes the famous Hanging Church. Cairo’s Church of the Saint Virgin Mary was built on the ruins of the Roman Babylon Fortress. Because of its location over the ruins of the fortress, it is known as Al Mo’llaqah Chruch or the “Hanging Chruch.”
From the Hanging Church to the nearby Abu Serga Church. Abu Serga church was built around the end of the fourth century or the start of the fifth century AD. The church was named after the two saints Sergius and Bacchus, who were martyred near Syria in the 4th century AD after accepting Christianity during the reign of the Roman Emperor Maximian. The Abu Serga Church is a basilica with an entrance, a nave, and three altars.
You will end your Cairo Spiritual Tour at the Synagogue of Ben Ezra, (sometimes is closed due to restoration). The Synagogue is named after the great Jewish Rabbi Ezra the Scribe. The Ben Ezra Synagogue is one of Egypt’s largest synagogues. The synagogue was originally an orthodox church that was sold to Jews for 20,000 Dinars in 882 AD, to pay the taxes levied by Egypt’s ruler, Ahmed Ibn Tulun. Then, transfer back to your hotel in Cairo.
Day 7 : Visit Memphis & Dahshur
Location: Mit Rahinah, Bent Pyramid, Red Pyramid

Today, you are exploring the Pyramids of Dahshur, the Bent Pyramid, and the Red Pyramid which were built by pharaoh Senferu, father of Khufu. You will find out if the Bent Pyramid was planned to be bent or was a failure. While the Red Pyramid is the first complete pyramid in Egypt.
Then to the Open Air Museum in Memphis, the first capital city of United Egypt. Located in the heart of the ruin field, the Open Air Museum of Mit Rahina consists mainly of a modern display area dedicated to a permanent collection of 81 stone artifacts of large size. Then, transfer back to your hotel in Cairo.
Day 8 : Fly to Hurghada

Stunning Nile cruise vacation awaits! The next segment of your 21-day Egypt tour package is on the horizon: the Nile River cruise. Following a few days of leisure in Hurghada, your journey continues as you embark on a transfer to Luxor, initiating your 4-night Nile River cruise from Luxor to Aswan.
Upon arriving on board, you will check into your room. After that, you’re invited to explore the largest temple in the world, the Temple of Karnak, and the majestic Temple of Luxor. Both temples were dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 13 : Tour to Kings Valley, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

Discover the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The pharaohs during the New Kingdom ceased building pyramids and cut their tombs deep into the mountain trying to hide them from grave robbers. There are 65 tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and your guide will recommend the best three tombs of the open ones to visit.
From the magnificent Valley of the Kings to the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut who ruled as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years. You will end your trip at the giant Colossi of Memnon which survives from the Temple of pharaoh Amenhotep III. Then return back to your Nile cruise ship to set sail to Edfu through the Lock of Esna. Overnight in Edfu.
Day 14 : Explore Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

After breakfast, you will take a horse and carriage to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is the most intact temple in Egypt and was built during the Greco-Roman period. The Temple of Edfu is fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls.
Take your carriage back to your river cruise to sail up to Kom Ombo. Visit the twin Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Then proceed to the Crocodile Museum in the vicinity of the temple. After the tour, the ship will sail up to Aswan where it moors for the next two days.
Day 15 : Aswan Tour

Welcome to the lovely City of Aswan. Your Aswan tour includes the largest engineering project in the 1960s, the High Dam. Then proceed to the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. End your Aswan tour at the awesome Temple of Philae. This temple was built during the Greco-Roman era and dedicated to Isis, the goddess of Magic and Love in ancient Egypt. Then, transfer back to your cruise for a free evening to wander through the city.
Day 16 : Lake Nasser Cruise - Abu Simbel Temples

Time to trade river currents for open waters! After disembarking from your Nile River cruise, a desert adventure awaits. Prepare to journey to, where Lake Nasser, a shimmering haven carved into the ancient landscape, beckons. Board your majestic Lake Nasser cruise and set sail on a three-night odyssey amidst breathtaking scenery and timeless wonders.
Have lunch on board. Visit the phenomenal Temples of Ramses II and Nefertari at Abu Simbel. The temples of Abu Simbel are considered among the most celebrated achievements of ancient Egypt. The two temples were cut in the cliffs about 310 Km south of Aswan. The Great Temple was built for Ramses II (1279-1213 BC), while the Small Temple was built for his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.

Day 17 : Qasr Ebrim - Amada
Location: Qasr Ibrim, Temple of Amada

The ship sets sail from Abu Simbel to Qasr Ibrim, which you will view from the top deck. Prior to the construction of the High Dam south of Aswan, Qasr Ibrim stood on the highest of three headlands on the east bank of the Nile some 70 meters above the River. Today, it is usually an island, though at times the lake as revealed a land bridge joining the island to the shore.
Then set sail to Amada to overnight there.
Day 18 : Amada - Wadi Es-Seboua - Aswan

Today at Amada, you will visit the Temple of Amada. This temple was built during the 18th Dynasty (c. 1550–1295 BC) in the New Kingdom, the temple of Amada is one of the oldest of the ancient Egyptian monuments lying along the shores of Lake Nasser. The reliefs and inscriptions of the temple are very well preserved because they were covered with a layer of plaster when it was converted into a church.
At Amada, you will also visit the tomb of the Viceroy of Nubia, Pennut, then set sail to Wadi Es-Seboua. This temple is named “Es-Seboua”, which means “Lions” and its name is justified due to the presence of the rows of lion-headed sphinxes before the entrance of the temple. The visit the Temple of Dakka, and the Temple of Maharaqa. Then, return back to your Lake Nasser cruise ship to set sail to Aswan to overnight.
Day 19 : New Kalabsha Area - Fly back to Cairo
Location: Kalabsha Temple, Kiosk of Qertassi, Beit el-Wali

Disembarkation. Visit the New Kalabsha area which includes the Temple of Kalabsha, the Temple of Beit El-Wali, and the Kiosk of Kertassi. The largest temple in the area is Kalabsha Temple. It was built during the reign of Augustus (30 BC–14 AD), the first Roman emperor. Primarily dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis, the gods Isis and her husband Osiris were worshipped here too.
Head to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo, and upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo for the final two nights of your 21-day Egypt tour itinerary.
