Day 4 : Bogotá flight to Leticia and Puerto Nariño – Lakes of Tarapoto

Upon arrival at Leticia's airport, you'll be warmly welcomed and driven to the town, where we’ll embark on a scenic walk to the port. Here, we board a motorboat to a floating house on the Amazon River for a delicious lunch amidst the stunning river views. Afterward, we visit the Victoria Regia Nature Reserve, home to the Amazon’s iconic giant lotus, the Victoria Regia. From bridges suspended above the water, we get a close-up view of these remarkable plants. In the afternoon, we continue our journey along the Amazon River to the peaceful community of Puerto Nariño, arriving after a scenic two-hour boat ride. After checking in at the hotel, we head out at dusk for a traditional boat ride on the Loretoyacu River, exploring the serene Tarapoto Lakes. Here, we have the chance to spot pink and grey dolphins, vibrant birdlife, and enjoy the stunning sunset over the jungle. A perfect introduction to the natural beauty of the Amazon!
Day 5 : Cultural and Wildlife Discovery: San Martin & Mocagua

After breakfast, we embark on a traditional boat journey to the community of San Martin, located on the Amacayacu River. The scenic boat ride takes us along the Loretoyacu, Amazonas, and Amacayacu Rivers for about an hour. San Martin, a settlement of the Tikuna ethnic group, offers a chance to immerse in local culture. We’ll visit the community's garden, pharmacy, and the traditional Maloca of the Moruapow group, learning about their customs and way of life. Next, we continue our river adventure to Mocagua, where we’ll enjoy a traditional meal with an Indigenous family. Afterward, we’ll visit the Maikuchiga Foundation, known as the House of the Monkeys, dedicated to the conservation of primates like the endangered Mico Churuco (Brown Woolly Monkey). After a day filled with cultural insights and wildlife encounters, we return to Puerto Nariño for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel, reflecting on the deep connections to both nature and local traditions.
Day 6 : Departure from the Amazon: Leticia to Bogotá - a farewell to the Amazon
