Located more than 2,600 meters above sea level, Bogotá offers a fascinating mix of history and architecture, especially in the picturesque neighborhood of La Candelaria. This charming area enchants visitors with its cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and colonial buildings. This guided tour takes you on a journey through Bogotá’s rich history, from its colonial past to its vibrant modern life. We begin at the impressive Plaza de Bolívar, surrounded by government buildings, before exploring La Candelaria, the city's historic heart, and Bogotá’s oldest church, Iglesia de San Francisco. At the renowned Gold Museum (closed on Mondays), we travel even further back in time, admiring over 30,000 pre-Columbian gold artifacts. Next, we visit the nearby Emerald Museum (closed on Sundays) before taking a cable car up Monserrate, Bogotá’s famous Pilgrim Mountain, to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the sprawling metropolis and surrounding plateaus. Our tour concludes at Hacienda Santa Bárbara, a beautifully restored colonial shopping center in Usaquén, a once-small village now transformed into a charming historic district. On weekends, this area hosts a lively flea market, adding to its unique charm.

Day 3 : Fly to Pereira – transfer to Salento – Hacienda Combia

The impressive Quindian Wax Palm can grow up to 60 meters tall, making it one of the tallest palm species in the world—a truly mesmerizing sight. As we journey to our hotel, we pass through rolling green hills and charming haciendas, immersing ourselves in the region’s picturesque beauty. A visit to the colorful town of Salento, one of Colombia’s most enchanting coffee villages, completes our day. Day 5 : Filandia Tour & Santa Rosa Termal

Today, we explore Filandia, a picturesque town celebrated for its vibrant colonial-style houses, stunning coffee landscapes, and serene ambiance. In the town’s central square, we gain insight into the region’s distinctive architecture before strolling through its colorful streets, lined with charming craft shops. A highlight of our visit is an authentic basket-weaving workshop, where a skilled artisan teaches us how to create a traditional coffee basket using a special vine plant. To round off the experience, we head to two scenic viewpoints, "Quindío" and "Casa Encanto," offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coffee cultural landscape.
Note: The viewpoints remain closed on Mondays. If Monday falls on a holiday, they will be closed on Tuesday instead.
Day 6 : Los Nevados National Park Adventure

The Los Nevados National Natural Park, located in Colombia’s Central Andes, is home to breathtaking landscapes, including the Nevados del Ruíz, Tolima, Santa Isabel, El Cisne, Quindío, the Valle Lunar, and the Otún and La Negra lagoons. Due to ongoing volcanic activity at Nevado del Ruíz, a yellow alert remains in place, restricting access to the volcano’s snow line.
Our journey to Los Nevados National Park begins with a scenic drive, making several stops at increasing altitudes to acclimate and admire the ever-changing landscape. Along the way, we enjoy a traditional regional breakfast before heading to Laguna Negra, where we sip coca tea while taking in the stunning páramo ecosystem, home to unique wildlife such as páramo ducks and the frailejón plant. At the park entrance, rangers provide a short briefing before we embark on a guided walk in search of native species like the Buffy Helmetcrest hummingbird (Oxypogon stubelii) and a high-altitude rabbit species (Sylvilagus sp.).
Next, we hike to the Gualí Waterfall, where we explore the high-mountain flora, bubbling springs, sulfur deposits, and other fascinating volcanic phenomena. Led by an experienced guide, this 1.5-hour trek is of moderate difficulty due to the altitude (4,000 meters above sea level). Following the hike, we drive to the Termales del Ruiz, an eco-hotel featuring natural hot springs surrounded by hummingbirds. Here, we unwind in the medicinal thermal waters and enjoy a delicious lunch in this magical setting before our return journey.
Day 7 : Transfer to Manizales – Cultural Tour in Manizales

Nestled in the Central Andes, Manizales stretches across rolling hills, offering breathtaking views of the lush coffee plantations and fertile landscapes of Colombia’s Coffee Region. While the city serves as a gateway to stunning natural wonders, our tour focuses on discovering the charm and history of Manizales itself.
We begin in the historic center, making our way to the 104-meter-high viewing platform of the Manizales Cathedral. To reach the top, we ascend the “Polish Corridor”, named in honor of the victims of the German invasion of Poland in 1939, the same year the cathedral was completed. After taking in the panoramic views, we continue our journey through the city, visiting Bolívar Square, the Chipre Viewpoint, and the entrance to the Settlers’ Monument, a tribute to the pioneers who founded Manizales in the mid-19th century.
Day 8 : Ukumari Bio Park in Pereira - Head to Risaralda
