Day 1 : Arrival Mexico City (15Km – 30Min)

Location: Mexico City

Upon landing at Mexico City International Airport, make your own way to the arrivals where a representative will meet you. You will then be transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in before spending the rest of this first day at leisure. 


Overnight in Mexico City.



Day 2 : Mexico City

Location: Mexico City

Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and prepare yourself for a Mexico City full-day walking tour. The first stop will be at the Cathedral, Templo Mayor (exterior visit), Madero Avenue and other important landmarks of the Historical Centre. After the tour return to the hotel in the early afternoon for a well-deserved rest. Alternatively, you can choose to go on  Optional Tour in the evening (not included):

The Legend of la Llorona in Xochimilco: Pick-up at 18:00hrs from the hotel. Transfer to Xochimilco and enjoy the Performance show "La Llorona" (1.20hr drive from the hotel, arrive at Xochimilco at 19:20 approx., the show starts at 20:00hrs (1hr duration).

Overnight in Mexico City.

Day 3 : Mexico City – Teotihuacan – Valquirico – Puebla (190Km – 4Hrs)

Location: Puebla

Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and depart from Mexico City to Teotihuacan. On route stopping at the famous Guadalupe shrine to visit both, the old and new basilicas. Then join the walking tour to the archaeological Sun & Moon pyramids in Teotihuacan. Lunch is included at Local Restaurant Gran Teocalli (buffet lunch). Continue to Valquirico, inspired by European Tuscany, a picturesque colonial-style town, featuring colorful facades, cobblestone streets, and a vibrant cultural scene. It combines the charm of traditional Mexican villages to create a space with unique magic. Next,  transfer to the city of "The Angels", Puebla. Located southeast of Mexico City, it is renowned for its rich colonial heritage, showcased in its well-preserved architecture and UNESCO-listed historic center, which boasts beautiful churches and ornate tiled buildings. The city is also famous for its culinary delights, including the iconic dish mole poblano, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

Overnight in Puebla.

Day 4 : Puebla – Tonantzintla – Atlixco – Puebla (66Km – 2Hrs)

Location: Puebla

After breakfast, get ready for a full-day walking tour of Puebla. Visit the majestic historic center that concentrates the largest number of colonial buildings, century XVIII, Visit its Cathedral, admiring its interior and the front facade and its towers that are considered the highest in Mexico. Continue to the Chapel of the Rosary located in the monumental group of Santo Domingo, delighting with its vibrant interior, polychrome in Leaf of gold. Time to buy souvenirs (typical sweets or objects from Talavera), before leaving for Santa María Tonantzintla, visiting its Baroque church, where its talaveresque façade stands out, and the interior decorated with polychrome. Free time for lunch (not included)before continuing to Atlixco (Magical town) Altars and monumental flower rug, which is placed in the Zocalo of the locality (especially for Day of the Death in Atlixco).

Day 5 : Puebla – Mexico City (130Km – 2.5Hrs)

Location: Mexico City

After breakfast check out and drive back to Mexico City. On the way we visit the archaeological zone of Cholula, the largest pyramidal basement in America (consisting of 7 bodies). Today the pyramid at first looks like a natural hill. This is a Church of Our Lady of Remedies, also known as the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Remedies, which was built by the Spanish in colonial times (1594) on top of the temple. Continue to Mexico City to enjoy the Day of the Dead Parade in Mexico City (Catrinas & Calaveras). The parade starts at approx 14:00 from Zocalo along "5 Mayo" Avenue, Paseo de la Reforma and ends at the "Estela de Luz" Monument. We will see it at Reforma Avenue "Independence Monument" (subject to changes to the latest program published by the government ). After the parade check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Mexico City.

Day 6 : Departure Mexico City (15Km – 30Min)

Location: Mexico City

Start your last day in Mexico with a tasty breakfast at the hotel. Then, check out and transfer to Mexico City International Airport for your departure flight back home.

Requirements

Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Mexico. However, the climate in autumn can be cold, therefore we recommend to bring warm clothes, a raincoat and umbrella. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
