8-Day Rocky Mountain Luxury Tour: Banff, Jasper & Yoho National Parks with Fairmont Hotels

Welcome to Calgary, famously known as "Cowtown." Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The hotel’s prime location allows you to leisurely explore the vibrant downtown area, where the old meets the new in Western Canada’s largest commercial city.

We have specially arranged a welcoming dinner at a unique local restaurant, where you will enjoy a delicious meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere. This marks the perfect beginning of your journey through the majestic Rocky Mountains.

Your journey to the Canadian Rockies National Park will officially begin this morning at the designated meeting time with your tour guide. Today, we will bid farewell to the bustling city of Calgary, taking the famous Trans-Canada Highway 1. Surrounded by unique landscapes, we will head west into the spine of North America—the Rocky Mountains.

Alongthe way, we will pass through vast stretches of ranches with a considerable number of cattle roaming about. This is the birthplace of Canada's most famous AAA beef. The rolling hills are a geological treasure, and as the mountains gradually appear before us, it marks the beginning of the highlight of our trip—the Canadian Rockies National Park.

Our first stop today will be the legendary Castle Mountain. Then, we will head to the largest ski resort in the Rockies—Lake Louise Ski Resort—where you will take a gondola ride for a panoramic view of the gem of the Rockies, Lake Louise, nestled between the mountains. We will also take you to experience the seasonal spectacle of Moraine Lake. Surrounded by the Valley of the Ten Peaks, you can enjoy the tranquility of the breeze by the lake. Next, we will visit the famous Lake Louise and check into the lakeside Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Before enjoying a specially arranged gourmet dinner, you can freely stroll alongthe lakeside and experience the stunning scenery. At night, you'll fall asleep accompanied by the peaceful lake and mountain views.

【Lake Louise Whitehorn Mountain】
Take the gondola up to get a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Louise, the gem of the Rockies, nestled between the mountains.

【Moraine Lake/Ten Peaks Valley】
Its waters are the most amazing color, a vivid shade of turquoise that changes in intensity through the summer as the glacier melt. Set in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and rock piles, creating a scene so stunning it almost seems unreal. (stop for about 60 minutes)

*Moraine Lake open from (Early June to Early Oct). If closed, it will be replaced by the Vermillion Lake

Early risers will have the opportunity to witness the first rays of sunlight at dawn, casting a brilliant golden glow over the mountains surrounding the lake. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will have free time in the morning to choose from several activities: you can stroll along the lakeshore, take a boat ride to explore the legendary scenery, or choose one of the famous hiking trails to follow. Alternatively, you may visit the mountaintop tea house to enjoy a panoramic view of the area.

In the afternoon, your guide will take you to Yoho National Park, which, though small in size, is closely tied to the establishment of the park. The tour includes a visit to the Spiral Tunnels, a 19th-century engineering marvel. Detailed signs on-site will give you a deep appreciation of the challenges faced during construction. Next, we will visit Emerald Lake, named for its vivid green waters. The wooden cabins along the lakeshore, reflected in the emerald waters, make this a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts, followed by Natural Bridge.

Tonight, we will arrange a gourmet dinner prepared by star chefs at the hotel restaurant, allowing you to savor local delicacies.

【YOHO National Park】
Named for a Cree expression of awe and wonder, Yoho lies on the Western slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

【Spiral Tunnel】
It is one of the most bizarre feats of engineering to get the grade of a train line to be at or below 2.2%. The current two spiral tunnels where the railroad forms two spirals, crossing beneath itself twice, almost forming a figure eight, before continuing in the proper direction down the mountain were completed in 1909. 【Emerald Lake】
Name comes from her green water color. (stop for about 20 minutes)

【Natural Bridge】
Sculpted by the erosive forces of rushing water over what had once been a waterfall, the Natural Bridge is a powerful reminder of how much influence water has in shaping the landscape. (stop for about 15 minutes)

After a hearty breakfast, you'll leave Lake Louise and travel north along the scenic Icefields Parkway, entering Jasper National Park, the largest in the Canadian Rockies.

We'll stop briefly at Bow Lake, where calm waters reflect the mountains. After lunch, you’ll visit the Columbia Icefield, where the Ice Explorer will take you across the Athabasca Glacier, and the Glacier Skywalk, a glass walkway with stunning views.

In the evening, you'll arrive at the tranquil Jasper Town. After dinner, enjoy the hotel’s leisure facilities or a peaceful lakeside stroll.

【Columbia Icefield】
Snocoach and Skywalk : Visit the Canadian Rockies and tour over the Athabasca Glacier in a giant Ice Explorer. A once in a lifetime experience. Next, enjoy a breathtaking view of the glacier from The Glacier Skywalk. (stop for about 3.5 hours)

【Athabasca Falls】
It is not one of the highest waterfalls, However, it is rather known for the shear amount and force of the water that flows through it from the Columbia Glacier. (stop about 30 minutes)

【Jasper Town】
It is the heart of Jasper National Park. 2nd biggest town in the Canadian Rockies.

【Maligne Lake - Lake Cruise) 】
It is the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies. You can take an optional cruise to enjoy the scenery of the lake. (stop for about 100 minutes)

【Maligne Canyon】
It is carved into the Palliser Formation, a layer of limestone deposited in a shallow tropical sea by lime-secreting plankton about 365-million years ago. (stop for about 30 minutes)

【Jasper Town】
It is the heart of Jasper National Park. 2nd biggest town in the Canadian Rockies. (stop time – your own arrangement)

After lunch, you will have free time to explore Jasper Town on your own. Below are the suggested activities, which should be booked and paid for on-site.

A starting point for tours on the Columbia Icefield. It is also the only place for basic services including public bathrooms, gas station and a restaurant. Enjoy can take a break here, enjoy the scenery, and refuel with a buffet meal before continuing their journey. It's an ideal spot to rest and refresh before or after touring the icefield. Start your journey to Famous Canadian Rockies from Calgary and you will visit the Banff National Park, Canada's first national park.

First, we will take a gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, where you’ll be surrounded by mountain ranges with shimmering waters in the distance.

We will also visit Bow Falls, made famous by the movie River of No Return, as well as Surprise Corner, the best spot to photograph the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Additionally, you'll explore the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, the birthplace of the national park. Ample time will be provided for you to fully enjoy the beauty of this charming town, often referred to as "Little Switzerland."
