Today, you will be picked up at Lhasa Airport/Railway station and transferred to your accommodation where you will have time to get settled in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure chilling in the hotel or begin your adventure by exploring the city on your own but try not to overtax yourself. The first day’s well-rest is crucial to acclimatize the high altitude. Remember to drink lots of water, eat light, and not to shower if you can help it.
Day 2: Lhasa, China

Visit the Lhasa Suburb (B/D)
After breakfast, head towards the Drepung Monastery that was once one of the world’s largest monasteries. Drepung means "rice heap" in Tibetan, a reference to the great number of white monastic buildings that once stood on the hillside. In the afternoon, you will visit another great monastery, the Sera Monastery, meaning "wild rose" in Tibetan as the hill behind was once covered with roses. Learn more about its architecture structure and Buddhism and get the chance to see monks debating. You will then be invited to a welcome dinner to introduce you to your fellows with who you are going to travel.
Day 3: Lhasa, China

Discover the Lhasa must-see attractions (B)
Today, you will explore the most emblematic places of the city. Start your day with the visit of the highest palace in the world, the incredible Potala Palace, with more than 3,700 meters above sea level. Reach the awesome Golden Roof and get a scenic panorama of the mountain ranges, villages, the stunning Lhasa river and the Jokhang temple. In the afternoon, discover the spiritual center of Tibet: the Jokhang temple which is the first built during the period of Sontsan Gambo in the 7th century. Marvel at the amazing architecture and watch devoted pilgrims praying before the monastery. You will find the Barkhor Street around the temple, a famous local handmade crafts market where you will be able to buy some souvenirs.
Day 4: Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse, China

Travel to Gyantse & Shigatse (B)
Today, you will admire the natural beauties of Tibet. First, get some stunning views of the awesome deep turquoise Yamdrok Lake. You will continue your way to the spectacular Karula glacier that is below the south ridge of Mount Nojin Kangsan. Marvel at the impressive snow-capped mountains before heading towards the famous Pelkor Chode Monastery with its Gyantse Kumbum, a chorten with paintings and statues. Admire the multi-storied Kumbum Stupa with its golden dome and its unique religious statues and murals. You will overnight in Shigatse.
Day 5: Shigatse - Tingri - Everest Base Camp, China

Drive to Tingri and overnight in Everest Base Camp (B)
Today, you will have to be patient as you are going to spend 10-12 hours on the road to reach the beautiful Everest region. Indeed, you will have to face to the no-more-than-40km/hr regulation and the many road checks dotted on the way. So bring with you some snacks and lunch, and don't be worry, the ride is worth it as you will get incredible views of the snow-capped mountains. In the late afternoon, you will finally reach the Rongbuk Monastery from where you will enjoy a splendid view of Mount Everest. You will have the option to visit the Rongbuk Monastery at an extra cost (25 CNY). If it's summertime (May-Oct), you will spend the night in the Everest Camp. Otherwise, you will overnight at Rongbuk Monastery's guesthouse.
Day 6: Everest Base Camp - Shigatse, China

See the Everest Base Camp & Return to Shigatse
This morning, head towards the Everest Tent Camp which is the further point vehicles can drive to. From there, take a shuttle bus for 4 km from where you will get an incredible view of the majestic Mount Everest. You will then spend 10-12 hours on the road for your way back to Shigatse.
Day 7: Shigatse - Lhasa, China

Return to Lhasa (B)
This morning, we will leave the hotel at around 08:00 am as we will spend 6 hours on the road to reach Lhasa. Get the chance to see the Tashilumpo Monastery, one of the six big monasteries of Gelugpa (Tibetan buddhist school) in Tibet. Then, spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure, chilling out or strolling in the vibrant streets of Lhasa.
