Reviews from travellers on this tour

Very impressed with this Salkantay trek

43628

I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to do Machu Picchu! Bamba planned everything out for us really well so we didn't need to worry about any logistics. Food was surprisingly delicious. Seeing the sun rise at Machu Picchu was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!

Sucessful Trek

43644

Once we started hiking it became apparent that we had an excellent guide (Vidal). My parents are 59 years old and in fairly good condition, compound that with the fact that we live at sea level, and they could be in for a rough trip. During the entire trek, Vidal made sure he paid attention to the people in the front of the group, while still making sure my parents were within their comfort zone and still able to have an enjoyable trip. Along the trek, we would make stops and Vidal would give us some local information or just a small history lesson about the spot where we stood. I honestly believe his personality and leadership helped make this trip a success for us.

Best guide

Highlight of the Peru holidays

The team from Bamba was excellent! Our Tourguide Edwin was very ambitious about the trek. He told us a lot interesting Facts during the hike. Especially the tour at Machu Picchu was very interesting. He knew a lot about it. The rest of the team was also very nice and helpful. Mr. Grimaldo cooked very good Food. He cooked very tasty vegetarian Food, especially for me.

One of my best decisions.

I don't have enough words for how much I enjoyed our Salkantay hike. 5 days of unbelievable views that you can never get used to!!! Great guide, clean campsites (and the 3* hotel on the last night is a treat!), and level of organisation from the tour operator.

Greatest experience ever

43566

Me and my friend went to Peru for the incatrail and had the best time of our life. Ceasar and Luis were our tourguides and made this hike special, we felt like a family, had fun +they informed us about the Inca sights very well. The Organisation was amazing and the food omg this was just amazing, the best food we had while traveling in Peru. Unbelievable what they made possible. I would highly recommend it!!!

Rewarding trek and amazing team

43740

Our 5-day Salkantay trek was amazing. The hike is not so easy and one of the guys in the group struggled a bit on day 2 but our guide Anderson was so patient and motivating! We had all bonded like old friends by the last day. Special thanks to our cook, porters and the rest of the Bamba customer team who were really helpful on the phone.

Hike of a lifetime

43782

This 5 day trek was a dream come true. The landscape changed everyday and was SO beautiful - from forests to mountains to local villages. Our guide was fantastic and we were fed very well. The trek was quite a challenge in parts, but it's totally worth it.

Salkantay to Machu Picchu

43705

Can’t say enough about how great Vidal was and how lucky we were in getting him as our guide. Also, Victor was our cook and he was amazing. I’ve never had such great food and definitely didn’t expect it on a trek like this. He could make something out of nothing. We definitely ate like kings on the trek - super natural and healthy! Definitely top of the list vacations. Thanks so much!!

Amazing guide and views

43782

The hike was beautiful, empowering and unforgettable! The tour operator was very reliable and professional, I believe they have been in the business for a long time. Our guide Anderson was a champion! Highly recommended.
