Day 1 : Riohacha - Cabo De La Vela, Colombia

Today you will catch your transfer to Cabo de la Vela. Throughout the day, you will visit indigenous villages and get immersed into their culture. You will also discover the Salinas de Manaure and visit a traditional weaving enterprise.
Day 2 : Punta Gallina, Colombia
Location: Punta Gallinas
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Transfer in the morning to Punta Gallinas and the Taroa Dunes. Explore rugged beach landscapes and orange sand dunes, and visit the Punta Gallina's Lighthouse where you will enjoy a magical sunset.
Day 3 : Punta Gallina - Riohacha, Colombia

What is the itinerary for the first day of the tour?
On the first day, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Riohacha at around 5:00 am and travel to Cabo de la Vela. You will visit Uribia, the indigenous capital of La Guajira, and the Salinas de Manaure. You will also visit a traditional weaving enterprise and spend time with the Wayuu community. The day ends with a visit to Pilón de Azúcar and the beaches of Dorada and Ojo de Agua.

What can I expect on the second day of the tour?
On the second day, after an early breakfast, you will travel to the Taroa Dunes and Punta Gallinas lighthouse. You will visit La Boquita Bay and stay at a native inn. The day includes a visit to the islets of La Boquita and BahÃa Hondita, and ends with a Wayuu weaving activity and dinner.

What happens on the last day of the tour?
On the last day, you will leave the hostel around 7:00 am and be transferred back to Riohacha.

Is there an age limit?
No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Most of our trips cater to the adventurous independent traveller. In fact, many of our travellers arrive on their own and quickly find that they easily meet like-minded people along the way at their hostels, on transportation, or during activities.

Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip, especially when travelling in developing countries. Bamba does not include travel insurance of any type.Your current medical insurance may cover part of your trip, so it is important for you to become familiar with your current coverage.
