The journey begins with a warm reception at the airport or bus station and a transfer to the office for an informative tour briefing. Travelers then embark on a scenic one-hour boat ride to the lodge, where a welcome meeting awaits with a refreshing regional fruit juice and room allocation.
After lunch, the adventure continues with a visit to "Monkey Island," situated across the Madre de Dios River, where diverse monkey species like the brown capuchin, squirrel monkey, saddle-back tamarin, and white capuchin can be observed.
In the evening, an exciting caiman search commences along the riverbanks, flashlights essential for spotting these creatures and possibly encountering the remarkable capybara. The day winds down with dinner and a restful night at the lodge.

The day starts with an early breakfast followed by a brief boat ride to Lake Sandoval's entrance. After passing through the checkpoint, a 3-kilometer (approximately 2-mile) walk leads to Lake Sandoval, a significant habitat for piranhas and one of Tambopata National Reserve's largest lakes. Following the scenic walk, a rowing boat becomes the vessel for a lake navigation, offering sights of various bird and monkey species such as the Hoatzin, cormorant, jacanas, puma heron, eagles, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, black capuchins, and tamarins. A possible encounter awaits with a family of nearly two-meter-long giant river otters, critically endangered, or the area-record giant alligator exceeding 4 meters. Return to the lodge for a lunch showcasing typical local dishes. As evening sets in, embark on a guided night walk to explore the region's rich insect, amphibian, reptile, and nocturnal animal diversity. Conclude the day with dinner and a rest at the lodge.

The day kicks off at 5:30 a.m. in the heart of the jungle with the canopy Walk-Way adventure, offering an enchanting view of the rainforest from about 30 meters up. Platforms along the way offer the chance to observe various bird species, such as toucans and macaws, in their natural habitat. After this exhilarating experience, breakfast awaits, followed by a journey back to the city.

No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
