Day 2: Marrakech, Morocco

Location: Marrakesh

Majorelle Gardens Tour (B/D)

Wake up and enjoy an included breakfast before taking in the sites of Marrakech. We'll travel to the Majorelle Gardens after breakfast, which have been painstakingly and lovingly created over 40 years by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. The mix of colourfully painted walls, water features and beautiful planting is a pleasure to explore and a surprising oasis in the middle of busy Marrakech. The iconic French designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner purchased the gardens in 1980 and saved them from ruin, also creating a museum in the grounds including their personal collection celebrating Berber culture. You can spend the afternoon exploring the Medina independently or take another escorted tour to the Menara Gardens and the Palmeraie area on the outskirts of Marrakech, where over a hundred thousand date palms, as well as fruit and olive trees, are irrigated by a network of reservoirs and channels outside the city. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 3: Marrakech, Morocco

Location: Marrakesh

Marrakech City Tour (B/L)

Today's tour of Marrakech includes the Menara gardens, and a trip to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, home to the minaret which has become a symbol of the city. We also visit the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace which hosts intricate and beautiful Arabic craftsmanship. In the afternoon we head to the lively souks and handicraft centres around the famous Djemaa El Fna square. Home to many different types of traders these bustling and aromatic streets are uniquely Moroccan. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 4: Marrakech-Quarzazate, Morocco

Location: Ouarzazate

Visit Ait Benhaddou & Travel to Quarzazate

After breakfast this morning we take to our 4WD vehicles and bid farewell to Marrakech for a few days. Our destination today is Ouarzazate, which we'll reach via the scenic mountains of the High Atlas, passing through the Tich'n'Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260m. Along the way we'll make various stops, the first being at the Kasbah of Telouet, which is the former residence of the Glaoui family - one of the most influential in the entire region. Next we'll head to what is probably the most well-known kasbahs in Morocco - Ait Benhaddou. We'll make a final short stop at the Kasbah of Taourirt before reaching our accommodation in Ouarzazate, or 'place of no noise'. An incredibly dramatic landscape, this area has played host to countless well-known films. This evening you'll have dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Quarzazate-Merzouga Desert, Morocco

Location: Merzouga desert

Todra Gorge & Overnight in Desert Bedouin Camp

After breakfast in Ouarzazate we'll travel along the road of a thousand Kasbahs towards the Moroccan deserts. Along the way we'll pass by the Kasbah of Amerhidel and visit the spectacular Dades Canyon before arriving in Tinghir, which is famous for the Todra Gorge whose rocks tower above visitors at around 250 meters. Time permitting, we may have the opportunity to arrange an optional hike in the Gorge (payable locally). Later this afternoon we'll pass through Erfoud before finally arriving into Merzouga where you'll spend the night in a Berber desert camp, at the foot of some of North Africa’s most impressive sand dunes.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert-Zagora, Morocco

Location: Zagora

Visit Zagora & Sahara Desert

We'll rise early this morning to witness the amazing sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After returning to the camp for breakfast we'll start our departure to Zagora via the important village of Rissani which is famous for being the birthplace of the Alaouites Dynasty. Continuing on our way we'll make a stop in the small berber village of Alnif where we will have time to get some lunch. The final leg of our journey today takes us to Zagora, where we'll spend the night.

Day 7: Zagora-Marrakech, Morocco

Location: Marrakesh

Return to Marrakech

After breakfast today we'll join the road for the long drive back to Marrakech, passing through numerous villages and palm groves before making another crossing of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N'tichka col. We'll arrive back into Marrakech late this afternoon where you'll have the evening free for some last-minute shopping and a final taste of Moroccan life in the square.

The Bamba Team really made my journey one of the most memorable experiences of my life! Still so nice and supportive! They handled everything and responded to each question within a few minutes. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. Especially if you want to do a lot of activities and travel to a lot of different places without feeling rushed. They've also helped me with specific issues that weren't covered by the tour, as well as answering general questions. Thank you so much for making my journey so enjoyable!

I only have good words about our trip to Kenya. The entire experience was totally magical and I struggle to say how fantastic it was. We were fortunate enough to have a brilliant vehicle for ourselves, but we had great luck with David for our guide too. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and nice. Thank you for helping to create this fantastic safari experience. I Highly recommend this company.

Feb 20 2020

We organized a trip through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia on the hop-on, hop-off bus. It made the trip so much simpler for us as first-time travelers because we just had to send an email to arrange the bus, which avoided the hassle of looking for the best price and so on! We also had a number of tours included, they were all amazing and saved us the trouble of trying to find the best offers on our own; it also meant we got to see a lot of stuff we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I will strongly suggest and use again!

Jun 25 2019

I had booked our Uyuni Salt Flats & Desert Adventure 3D/2N (Uyuni to Atacama) tour via an Australian travel agency, but they had made an error and refused to assist us or take responsibility. This was very difficult for us because we wanted to have a stress-free honeymoon. I contacted Bamba and I asked if we could talk on the phone so they made the improvements to our tour reservation that our travel agent declined to make. The quality of service was exceptional and they generously offered to us a complimentary gift because it was our honeymoon. I can't say enough good things about Bamba.
