At 3:30 am, the day trip kicks off from Barcelona, with participants boarding buses for the adventure ahead. The morning begins at 6:00 am, as everyone rises and prepares for the day's festivities. A delightful bottomless brunch, complete with refreshing bloody marys, awaits from 6:00 am to 7:00 am, setting a jovial mood for the day. At 7:00 am, buses depart for the Tomato Fight venue, where anticipation mounts for the main event. By 10:00 am, excitement peaks as participants vie to reach a leg of ham atop a towering 5-meter pole, signaling the official start of the Tomato Fight once achieved. If the ham remains untouched by 11:00 am, a rocket launches, triggering a tomato-flinging frenzy. Trucks laden with ripe tomatoes flood the streets, prompting an hour of chaotic fun as attendees hurl tomatoes at one another, soaking themselves and others in a sea of pulpy fruit. After the frenzy, participants return to the buses, with the option of a refreshing rinse from locals wielding garden hoses in exchange for a small donation. It's advisable to pack spare clothes! At 2:00 pm, buses depart for the return journey to the hotel, concluding the day's activities. Later, at 7:00 pm, departure from Valencia to Barcelona commences via the day trip bus. Finally, at 8:00 pm, buses head towards the Official La Tomatina After Party, offering an additional option for €15 when booking or adjusting plans accordingly.
