Depart from Kathmandu and travel to Sundarijal to begin your trek, ending the day in the hill-top village of Chisapani.

Trek past incredible Himalayan views before reaching the village of Nagarkot at 2150m.
Day 3 : Nagarkot - Kathmandu, Nepal
Location: Kathmandu
Rise early to watch the iconic sunrise over the Himalayas on Day 3 before descending to through forests and villages to Dhulikhel, from where you will drive back to Kathmandu.

What is the itinerary for the first day of the trek?
On the first day, you will drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (approx. 45 minutes) and then begin a steep climb to reach Chisapani. Chisapani, meaning cold water, always has a cool climate where you can enjoy nature and friendly local villagers far from the noise and crowds of busy city life.

What can I expect on the second day of the trek?
On the second day, you will trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot (2163m) over approximately 7 hours. Nagarkot is perched on a ridge 32 km east of Kathmandu with sweeping views of five of the world's ten highest peaks, including Everest. It is a popular spot to watch the sunrise and sunset over the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas.

What happens on the final day of the trek?
On the final day, you will follow the trail climbing up to the tower of Nagarkot for excellent views of the mountains, including Mt. Everest, and the Kathmandu Valley. Then the trail descends through forests and villages until Dhulikhel, where you will take a 1-hour drive back to Kathmandu, arriving around 15:00.

Is there an age limit?
No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Most of our trips cater to the adventurous independent traveller. In fact, many of our travellers arrive on their own and quickly find that they easily meet like-minded people along the way at their hostels, on transportation, or during activities.

Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip, especially when travelling in developing countries. Bamba does not include travel insurance of any type.Your current medical insurance may cover part of your trip, so it is important for you to become familiar with your current coverage. We recommend purchasing additional travel insurance that provides coverage for medical emergencies, emergency evacuation and repatriation, lost or stolen items and unforeseen cancellations. If you plan to participate in activities such as white-water rafting, trekking, sand-buggy rides, etc please make sure they are included in your policy.
